I feel bad for leaving William and Ryan. I need some time by myself though. Even if it's only for a brief moment. I feel terrible for snapping at Hann as well. All they are trying to do is help us.

My walk continues on the side of the road. I begin to wonder how far away I am from my real house. Wondering how my mom is doing. Is she okay? Does she know I'm alive?

My feet seem to drag me farther into the city, but I don't seem to really recognizing it. Where am I? Am I even in the city that we are from?

I walk down the sidewalk, actually missing Trevor. Yes he helped kidnap us, but he has been nice throughout all of this. At least nicer than Jaylinn.

I feel bad that Trevor is in jail, he doesn't deserve it. Jaylinn does though. She deserves everything that we can hope will happen to her. That is if she is found.

I continue my walk around this small city, my foot burning from the walk. I brush the pain off; ignoring the intense pain shooting up my leg, and the stabbing pain in my foot. I should probably sit down. I should have my foot elevated, definitely shouldn't be walking around on it. The honking of a small truck grabs my attention. I look back in the direction it came from. A couple sits inside the truck, yet I can't make out who it is until they roll the window down. I am shocked at who sits in the front two seats.

"Annalise, what are you doing out here? Where are your crutches? Where are William and Ryan?" John's voice is showing worry.

"Hi John and Jackie." I wave to the two but don't answer any of his questions.

"Annalise get in the back, you shouldn't be walking on your foot." Jackie's motherly instincts take over. I hear the click of the doors unlock.

I sigh and hop in the back seat, my foot feeling a little better from taking the weight off it and the heat from the cement.

"Have you heard any of the latest news?" I question John slowly wondering how much he knows.

He drives down the road and turns the radio down.

"I've heard that Trevor is currently being held in custody, trail and charges pending still. Jaylinn is currently missing. Where are your brothers though?" John states while keeping his eyes on the road. Jackie hits him in his arm. He quickly corrects himself. "I mean where are your friends, the two other boys she took."

I shrug my shoulders while staring out the window.

"I got mad at the police station, and stormed out. I left the two boys at the station. Are they not there? Have you been to the station?" I begin to talk faster with a panic tone behind my voice.

"We just left the police station the boys aren't there. I guess Chief Valen sent Deputy Hann to lunch. Valen had requested for an officer to sit with Ryan and William until they were able to inform their parents. Plus they still needed to set up the safe houses for protection. When Hann came back after her lunch break the boys were gone." Jackie explains while Jon drives out of the town.

"So Jaylinn has the boys. Do they have cameras in there? Do they know for sure that Jaylinn took them?" I feel confused as to why they asked me about my brothers if they already knew.

"Chief Valen stated that the cameras are not currently in operation. I guess they hadn't gotten them set up yet. They don't have any evidence of who took them. They are almost 100% positive though that Jaylinn has them." Jackie looks back at me, with a tear in her eye.

I stare out the window with my mouth partially opened; a tear pools in my eyes, rolling down my cheeks.

She is gonna take us again! She already has 2/3rds of us.
