The entire family gathers at the table. Conrad examines the situation, his eyes glancing at everyone.

"I called this family meeting to discuss the best interest of the children." Conrad places his hands on the table as he holds them together.

"And what is that?" Adam scoffs at him.

"Well I think it would be in the best interest of the children if they came and stayed with us for a while." Conrad states which shocks me. I didn't know they had their own place. They are constantly at Jaclyn's place, have their own room at her house.

"Why? So you guys can coddle them. Let them do what they want. Get away with anything they please. No you're not taking the children!" Adam slams a closed fist down on the table.

"Babe! It will do us some good away from the kids. We could go on a vacation. A little pre honeymoon adventure." Jaclyn place her left hand on Adam's chest. Trying to indicate that maybe he should think of a wedding, think of putting a ring on it. Most likely just wanting to please Adam's dad. Remembering how his dad disapproved about them not being married while having kids.

My heart races and a smile forms on my face. Conrad really is gonna try to help us escape.

"You want to have a spontaneous wedding?" Adam seems intrigued by Jaclyn's actions.

"Well honey your dad didn't seem too pleased over us not being married while having the kids. I just want your parents to like us, like me." Jaclyn lays her head on his chest while crying slightly.

God she is such a faker. Could her fake crying be anymore obvious. I roll my eyes at their actions.

"Babe I don't even have a ring yet." Adam frowns wondering how he can afford a ring with no job.

"Well we don't have to talk about rings yet. I have some money put away, let's hit up Vegas and just get married there. No need for a fancy wedding." Jaclyn smiles up at him. Adam leans in to kiss her gently.

"Deal! Vegas wedding babe!" Adam runs upstairs, most likely to start packing.

Jaclyn turns her attention to all of us.

"You three will be on your best behavior for your grandparents!" She states while staring at me.

The three of us nod our heads in unison.

"Good go pack a bag." She points her manicured finger upstairs.

William takes my hand, the two of us walk hand in hand upstairs. Ryan following a step behind us.

All three of us enter my room. We sit on my bed together.

"So they are really getting married." Ryan sighs while running a hand through his hair.

"Yep, it's official we will have a fake step daddy." William rolls his eyes.

"Come on, let's just get our bags packed before the wicked witch of the west comes barging in." I state as we all get off my bed to pack our bags.

I pack mostly comfy clothes: sweatpants, T-shirts, leggings. Just scroungy clothes, not really feeling like packing any of the cute clothes that still have new tags on them. The new clothes that Janice and Conrad brought over on my first night here. I find it sick that the two went shopping for us, and now Conrad actually seems like he wants to help us get home. What is going through their heads?

Once we all finish packing enough clothes for what we think will satisfy Jaclyn we head down the stairs to the kitchen.

Jaclyn and Adam are both already downstairs with their own suitcases packed and ready.
