"Annalise, time to wake up. We have to leave for your appointment in 20 minutes. Chop chop get ready." I hear Phoenix knocking on the other side of the door.

"I'm up. I'll be down in a few minutes." I call out from the bed.

Dragging myself out of the bed, I rummage through my bag pulling out a clean outfit. A simple grey T-shirt and black sweatpants. I also grab my other shoe. I make quick work with getting changed. I head downstairs with my shoe in hand.

"Good morning Annalise. Here I made some breakfast. Gotta try to eat quickly though. We need to be on the road in 10." Phoenix puts a plate of eggs, bacon and toast on the table for me.

"Good morning. Thanks for breakfast Phoenix. I just need to do my hair quickly after we eat." I state to him. He seems happy I'm actually eating his cooking. It is delicious. My stomach definitely agrees with the meal.

After finishing breakfast I rinse my dish in the sink.

"Hey Phoenix I'm gonna go do my hair real quick." I state to him. He is loading the dishes in the dishwasher.

"Okay Annalise. Be quick." He calls back to me.

I nod my head as I go into the bathroom. I quickly run a brush through my hair and call it good. I stare in the mirror for a mere second before dashing out. Phoenix is looking at me keys in hands.

"You ready to go?" He tosses me the keys.

"Phoenix I'm not driving! Here!" I try to hand the keys back to him but he refuses to take them.

"You have your license don't you?" He smirks at me.

"No I don't okay. Please take the keys." I hold my hand out with the keys in my palm.

Phoenix nods and takes them opening the door for me. We both go outside climbing into his car.

A phone call comes through Phoenix's phone ten minutes into the drive.

He glances at it.

"It's your dad." He hands the phone to me, keeping his eyes on the road.

"I don't want to talk to him." I cross my arms against my chest refusing to touch his phone.

"Please take it Annalise. I'm driving." He holds the phone out with one hand, other hand on the wheel and eyes on the road.

"Fine." I snatch the phone from him, placing it on speaker.

"Hello Phoenix. You there?" Adam's voice is heard on the other line.

"Yeah bro. You're on speaker. We are headed to her doctor's appointment. What's up?"

"It's the hospital closer to us you know that right?" Adam sounds sober for once.

"Yeah man. That's why we left early." Phoenix pulls into the freeway.

"We are on our way. We are gonna meet you at the hospital." Adam's voice sounds steady and clear.

"Is everything okay? Everyone alright? If you are planning on taking Annalise back, we didn't bring her belongings. They are all back at the house." Phoenix states a little worrisome.

"We are on our way with the kids. They are missing their sister so we figured we would come by. Gonna stop and get lunch after if you two want to come along you are more than welcomed too. We were gonna take her back but I didn't think you would have her belongings with you." Adam's voice is steady on the other end of the phone.

"We don't man. I would have grabbed them if I knew you wanted her to come home." Phoenix grips the steering wheel tightly.

"Yeah you would have known if you would have called us last night like I wanted you to."
