It's Time

I soon woke up to the sound of knocking on the door. I soon saw Sakuya and Hayato standing in the doorway.

"Hi Sakuya!" I greeted.

"Hey." Sakuya smiled back, "Wait... Did you just say my name?"

"I did?" I replied.

"Oh, she did!" Hayato exclaimed.

Sakuya soon pat my head, "Good job."

My heart thumped a little as he touched my head.

"And, um, hello Hayato." I shyly greeted.

"Yo." Hayato waved.

They both walked inside.

"Should I get you guys something? Some tea or water?" I asked.

"Thank you; I'm good." Sakuya answered.

"Same here." Hayato responded.

"Okay, so what do you guys want to talk about?"

"We're going to try and bring Yukio back." Sakuya stated.

"Eh? Wait, you know where he is?!" I blurted.

"Not exactly but we got a pretty good idea on what happened to him!" Hayato answered.

"So, what do you think happened?" I questioned.

"Yukio was probably taken hostage." Sakuya explained, "We think Hebionna, Yukio's opponent for the position of Yokai Leader, did it and is conspiring with Karasu. Rumours have claimed that Yukio left with the human who attacked a Yokai. She most likely abducted him in order to make the rumours seem genuine, and then she forced you through the portal. While she shoved you into the portal, she must have used her snakes to catch Yukio."

"Wait! She didn't push me in!" I objected.

"How do you know?!" Hayato hollered.

"Because before I got pushed in the portal, I got a look at them! They had a horn!" I elaborated.

"I see. If so, perhaps we now have a third adversary." Sakuya added, "Nami, do you have any other information about them? We can find that person more easily the more details we have about them."

"No, that's basically it." I replied, "I didn't have much time to get a full look on their face."

"I think it's best that we know all our enemies so we come prepared. Hayato, I will go spy on Hebionna while you'll go investigating and see if any Oni are acting suspiciously. Any rumours can also give us pointers." Sakuya commanded.

I commented, "And I just stay here?"

"Yes. Stay in here and don't draw any attention to yourself." Sakuya explained, "The last thing we need is you gone too."

"Sir! Yes, sir!" I agreed.

"Okay then, goodbye." Sakuya waved.

"See ya, punk!" Hayato chimed.

I soon started to waste time as I waited for Hayato and Sakuya to come back. After some time, there were knocks coming from the door and the door opened up.

Sakuya opened the door, "Hey, we're back."

"Come in!" I cheerfully exclaimed.

"So, how'd it go?" I asked.

"Quite well, actually." Sakuya responded, "We know who we're looking for."

"That's fantastic!" I beamed.

"Yeah. It's that damn Onimaru." Hayato stated.

"Who?" I raised a brow.

"You know, that guy you met when we went to the forest?" Hayato specified.
