I eventually lost sight of the girl so I went random ways in hopes I'd find her but while running I soon saw a figure but it wasn't the girl.
My eyes widened and sweat went down my forehead.
Karasu soon stared at me with an eyes that was filled with a hungry darkness and seething rage.
Aiyah... I shouldn't have run off...
"Well, well, well... What do we have here?" Karasu smirked, "If it isn't the insignificant human who believes she can just control my brother however she wishes."
I soon gritted my teeth and my fists clenched.
"I am not controlling your brother!" I protested, "I love and care for him, I'm not like that human girl that you met!"
"You have love for him?" Karasu scoffed, "Don't make me laugh. Like a human could ever love a Yokai."
"But your brother cares about humans! Surely a human can have the capacity to care for Yokai?" I argued.
"That is due to the naivety of my brother." Karasu replied, "You, on the other hand, are just a simple human being that is solely interested in their own selfish desires. A human could never care for a Yokai."
"Yeah, because you're acting so kindhearted." I hissed, "Look at yourself, you're going around killing humans just because one didn't treat you right. Should I go around killing Yokai just because you're not acting nice to me?"
"Were you ever betrayed by me? Did you ever make any sacrifices for me? Did you ever care for me?" Karasu coldly questioned.
"No but—"
"Then don't you dare assume how I feel!" Karasu yelled.
"But I still know what it's like to get abandoned!" I shrieked, "I've been thrown away before and it never feels good. But those feelings don't justify hurting others. Not those who are innocent!"
"Humans are never innocent!" Karasu accused.
"Since when?! What did humans have a part in your relationship with her?! Did they convince her to betray you?! Did they tell lies about you?! Did they put her at knifepoint and forced her to stab you in the eye?! Tell me!" I shouted.
"Because you humans are always conniving! It's in your nature to act that way!" Karasu spat, "No matter what, you'll only hurt Yokai!
"Oh? So is it in your nature to murder humans?!" I argued, "Is it in your nature to hurt others?! Don't you dare say it all comes down to nature!"
"Enough!" Karasu shouted, "I'll permanently remove you from my brother's life! You are a parasite who just lives off of him!"
I soon started to run away and Karasu lunged at me. A flash of red soon gripped Karasu's arms.
"Get away from her, you overgrown vulture." Hayato grunted.
"Hmph." Karasu smirked, "So, you've come to present yourself. Simply saving me time and effort."
Hayato soon threw Karasu onto the ground. Karasu soon lunged at him but he deflected the blow.
"C'mon, that's all you got?" Hayato teased.
Karasu soon used his wing to unleash a strong blow of wind. Hayato had to use his arms to cover his face and then Karasu grabbed him by the leg and soon started to flap his wings. He soon took off into the air.
"If you try to make me let go of you, have fun plummeting to your death." Karasu sneered.
Clearly, that wasn't all he got.
