This Is All My Fault

"Karasu is... Sakuya's brother?"

I soon remembered the look of Karasu and it suddenly clicked.

They both were Tengu, had the same red eyes, the same pale skin, even Karasu's hair colour matched Sakuya's heavy black hair.

"Why did you wait until now to tell us?" Hayato asked.

Yukio sighed, "I presumed that Sakuya would've told at least one of you about it. I mean, you were going up against Karasu, after all. But maybe he thought it would've been awkward or he didn't want to drop a bombshell."

Soon, another thing soon suddenly clicked into my head.

"So that's why he wasn't fighting back, he couldn't bring himself to hit his own brother." I solemnly mumbled.

"That's right." Yukio muttered.

Soon, my mind towards the rumour Hayato talked to me about. The brother he talked about wasn't Yukio, it was Karasu!

"What happened with Sakuya and Karasu?" I questioned.

"You're going to have to come to Sakuya about that." Yukio responded sadly, "Although Karasu's my brother too, Sakuya was the closest to him and they're related by blood. It's just not my place to speak about it."

"Alright..."

"And besides, it's best if you worry about it tomorrow, it's been a long day and a lady does need their beauty rest." Yukio said in a falsely happy tone.

"Okay, then." I whispered.

"Sweet dreams." Yukio said.

He soon walked out of the door and Hayato soon looked at me.

"See ya, punk."

And he soon followed Yukio out the door.

I soon changed into my pajamas, got into the futon and let sleep take me away.

In the morning, I soon woke up to the noise of knocking. I soon quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the door to see Sakuto in the doorway.

"Sakuto!" I gaped.

"Sakuya."

"Uh, sorry, Sakuya." I apologised.

"Is Karasu doing alright?" Sakuya asked.

"Uh, yes." I replied, "I think. I haven't really gone to where Karasu is."

"Alright." Sakuya soon moved over to the door to Karasu's room.

"Wait, wait, wait! I want to talk with you." I exclaimed.

"What were you hoping to discuss?" Sakuya responded.

"I know that you and Karasu are brothers."

Sakuya's eyes soon widened and he scratched the back of his neck, "O-oh. Yukio must've told you."

"Yes... he did." I replied, "But why did you try and go against Karasu then? If you told us you didn't have the heart to fight against your own brother then we would've understood and then Yukio could've took your place!"

"Because this is all my fault." Sakuya frowned.

"Sakuya, we talked about this... You did everything in your power to try and stop Karasu from escaping prison, you don't need to beat yourself up over it..." I reassured.

"No... It's not that..." Sakuya bemoaned, "Why he started killing humans... It's because of me."

Because of him? Karasu started killing humans?
