Sonechka . His name is Sonechka, and he is mine now. He will grow with me by his side and I will do my best to guide him to live the best, wisest life. His name means wisdom after all.

"Sonechka. Sonechka Mikhailovich. "

And I love him dearly.

Sonechka has opened his eyes, they are a minty sea-green. They are big and wide like my mothers and when he looks at you wish nothing but the world for him. He is currently settled in what use to be my old crib. His name and his everything is so beautiful, I just wanna hand the world to him. I wanna make this place a sanctuary where he can grow unbothered and unbound. Ohgosh I'mabrocon-!

Vanya stared down at his brother who had settled down on the cabin floor, his old bear onesie now on Sonechka.
Sonechka's hair had grown further, black baby soft curls roaming free over his naturally tan scalp.
"Bababaabbabhabh Bah BAH BAH Bah aababa baaaaaaaaHhh!"

Sonechka sounded so deep in thought.
His words sounded so intense so it must be important. Vanya will nod along for now.

My life is complete. Me and Sonechka are eating chak-chak and baklava as we sit outside our cabin. It is July, my birthday is today and were spoiling ourselves on sweets as we look at our surroundings no longer bathed in snow. It was one of those rare months up in the russian north where for once all the snow melted and we got a view of a damp summer. It was still slightly chill, but we were used to the cold at this point so I decided I'd settle outside in a pair of loose sweat pants while shirtless. Heh the advantages of being male. Sonechka is now three and I turned nine today.

Sonechka was dressed in brown trousers with a light blue short sleeved button up. He looked beyond happy, stuffing chak-chak in his mouth like it would be his last time eating it.

I snorted quietly at his behavior, internally comparing him to a chipmunk. Unfortunately it seemed sonny heard me.
"Hah!? Did youw just 'augh at meh? Uhhhhwaaahhhh!"

Sonny squealed loudly around his mouthful of sweets. Quickly chewing up the chak-chak and swallowing it down.
"I did. What are you gonna do about it?"

I taunted with a mocking glance.
"IMA EAT ALL YOUR BAKLAVA!"

Sonny roared like lion. Lunging for my plate of crunchy pastries.

"BAHAHAHAAHAHA!"

"Uhhhwah that girl Nikita was such a nagli!"

Sonechka whined unhappily.
"Why what happened?"

I raised a brow at him in contempt, why was he bringing out name calling.

"I gave her one of my caramel candies in trade for one of her strawberries but after I gave her my caramel she decided to not give me one of her strawberries!"

Sonechka wailed. Oh, yeah that would do it.
"Wanna teach her a lesson?"

"YES!"

"WAHHHHHHHHHH MOOOMMMY!!!!!!!!"

hehehe heh. I'm so immature. Also a total jerk.

Sonechka and I had dressed like vodyanoy, Russian water spirit who drowned people. The little girl who apparently had been taking everyone's things and stealing their treats had left her bag full of goodies behind.

"Duuuudeee nice, she took some ones baklava. It's a bit crunched up but it still looks edible. "

"You love baklava vanny."

"yeah I know. Oh hey there's those strawberries you wanted!"

"MINE!"

"Sonechka~ I'm coming to find you!~"

Vanya crooned creepily into the cabin hallways.

'nuuuuuuuuuu.'

Sonechka complained in his head. Big brother would not find him. His brother was never going to get back at him for eating his plum.
Sonechka let out a small giggle from his hiding place inside a cabinet.

"I hEaRd YoU~!"

"NUUUUUUUUUUU!!!"

"Nu uh no way! No way you won!"

Sonechka complained over our game of mancala.
Hah get wrecked noob.
"Nah I destroyed you, you can't conquer the awesomeness that is me!"

Vanya gloated.

"I don't accept this! Rematch!"

"Let's make snow angels!"

Sonechka declared pulling me along by the sleeve.

"d'alright you shit."

"I HEARD THAT!"

Galina roared from the cabin.
Time to make ourselves scarce.

Me and Sonechka were walking through the village, we'd come down to visit the village with dad and were enjoying ourselves. I had my hand held in Sonechka's and we were passing by all the shops.

Snowflakes sprinkled the air like confectionery sugar. Nonetheless the town prospered as people went on with their daily lives. It was peaceful.

"*Gasp!* Who threw that!"

Sonechka yelled tripping over his feet ungracefully. A sprinkle of dense snow laid on his back. Vanya laid beside him, face first in the snow star fish style. A few kids had challenged them to a snowball fight. Game on bitch.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

"Oh no he's finally gone insane!"

Sonechka cried in dispair. Vanya was a machine gun, no a gatling gun. However rather than bullets his purpose was only for snowballs.

"BOW TO ME PEASANTS! I WILL MAKE YOU A SMEAR OF BLOOD IN THE SNOW!"

"Go Vanny! You got this!"

Sonechka cheered Vanya on.

Vanya was currently attempting to cut a log in half with an axe.
"Come on son you got this!"

Roman also cheered beside sonechka.

"Go Yaya! Split that log in half like the skull of your enemies!"

Galina gave words of encouragement in a very disturbing fashion. Nonetheless her words were very helpful to vanya

"I'M SPLITING IT!"

'POW'

'BAM'

Two separate sounds entered the clearing. Two separate pieces of wood hitting the ground, separated by an axe in the damp dirt.

"YAYYY!"
