Snowboarding feels like fist fighting.

When you rush down the hills on a board with nothing but your own body to steer you ahead. The adrenaline that fills you from head to toe. Leaving you breathless with your heart thumping in your ears. Making tears gush from the corners of your eyes at the pure euphoria that leaves you mindless but aware.
The only thing in your mind is how amazing it makes you feel. It's like I'd been dosed with ecstasy. Beutiful.

I crashed down into the Ditch full of snow. My feet stuck to the handles that held me in place on the board.
My fluffy hood clung around my face while my goggles and face mask held tight.

Ughh that had been amazing.

"WOOOOOOOOO!!!"

A squel of excitement cut off my thoughts as a small body on a snow board crashed into me.
Sonechka had his own little brown sled that was wide with a curled front and a rope to hold onto as reins.

Ah his baby brother is so cute. (Your creepy. Shut up.)

"You okay Sonny?"

"Yeah! I'm okay, you broke my fall."

"Im glad I was of service."

"I give you ten stars out of five."

"You're so generous."

"I know."

Vanya and sonechka played on those snow blanketed mountains till Sonechka began to grow numb to the cold.

"Alright it's getting a little to cold. You wanna head home?"

Sonechka questioned.

"Yeah, let's head back."

I didn't feel cold. My body ran at a much higher temperature and kept me warm like a furnace. I could probably go out into the snow in my birthday suit and be just fine.
.
.
.
As we trudged down the mountain something began to feel off.
The flame markings down at the cabin were going haywire. Like something had just ripped its peace out from under it.
The flames on my parents swelled in threat, brushing up against.... Foreign flames.

The amethyst flames felt mocked that something would dare threaten its property.

I threw Sonechka over my shoulder without a second thought as I pumped cloud flames into my legs.

"HUH?! YAYA WHAT ARE YA DOING?!?!!"

I did not respond. I couldn't respond. The only thing that pumped though my mind was possessive rage that felt like acid.

My mind was growing fuzzy. The wrath in my mind spreading like a virus.
The edges of my vision flushing purple and my ability to feel physical touch was nonexistent.

Adrenaline licked at my lungs. Pushing violent breaths of air from my mouth as my mouth grew dry.

The cabin came in to view, and the sight drove me mad.

My hand flew up over Sonechka's mouth. My fingers clamped down on his lips and pressed them shut. Had I been more conscious I would of felt disappointed with myself but in that moment I just wanted to make sure mys parents were okay and alive.

I tossed Sonechka into a bush and threw myself in after him.

"Mmmmhhhmm!"

"Quiet. Look over there."

I said in a stern whisper. I pointed through the leaves at our yard that had small speckles of blood splattered lightly on it.
Our parents with their hands tyed to their ankles had guns pointed at them.

"We've finally gotten the clouds!"

"That was so easy! And to think there were two of them!"

These people were looking for me. They had mistaken my parents as the cloud they were looking for.
I knew this might happen but I'd didn't expect it so quickly!

I need to think damnit.

Sonechka beside me was panicking. Looking ready to throw himself out of the bushes and run to his parents.
(Such a pretty human.)

I can't have Sonechka getting hurt, this is my fault after all. "Stay quiet. Stay still, or I will knock you out."

I hissed in a low voice.
Sonechka froze as he seemed to sense my flames buzz at him in a primal way.
Sonechka looked at me wide eyed but slowly dipped his head down.

I looked back at the situation.
Absent mindedly shucking off my coat onto Sonechka like a blanket.

The cold never bothered me anyway.

These idiots have mentioned clouds.
That's not enough to be considered a breaking of Omerta therefore I can't summon the Vindice.

Your probably thinking, 'Oh Vanya why don't you summon them anyway. In sure they'll let you off.' Wrong the Vindice do not favor me regardless of affiliation. I'm simply a tool for their end objective.
They would be accused of an alliance and their neutral law enforcement status would be ruined.

The Vindice aren't hypocrites so they abide by their laws.

I must deal with this on my own.

It should be easy in theory to use my flames without showing them to civilians. These people in front of me have flame conduits so they can manifest them outside their bodies. I however only have them inside of me.

I'll need to swell my muscles and bone mass for better defense and offense. I'll do it in unnoticeable areas.

My muscles and bone swelled at my call. Easily moving to defend something that has always been theirs.

And I moved with violence and fury in my step.
The snow under me flew back and I tackled the nearest person.
A man with a ski mask and puffy jacket on.
My nails sharpened into short claws and I shoved them into his throat without mercy.

(You didn't regret a single bit when you took their lives. Your not normal, your a murderer.)

(She moved without remorse, going for the kill when given the chance. So he may see the next sunrise.)

The sound of bullets rang through the air. I pulled the dying man in front of me up as a shield.

They shredded his corpse while I threw him at them.

My voice beckoned at them.
"leave them alone! I am the only cloud here! Those people are civilians!"

It sounded dramatic. Like I was an actor on stage crowing his woes to the audience.
These people needed to see me and not family.

My form is intimidating. My invisible Limb of cloud flame flaring around me. The pressure of my flames roaring at them with the weight of a million blades poised to attack.

I had been stupid.
