Season 2, Episode 12
Act 2, Chapter 9;
Lessons Learned
Actions have consequences. It's a lesson Lucy's brain has ingrained into her as a child, ever since she heard it. Like when she saw Henry get lectured by their mother about it when he was feeling mischievous. Or when she overheard a fellow classmate get punished by the faculty for misbehaving.But like all things she experienced before Mystic Falls. Those actions were juvenile and innocuous. Thus, their consequences reflected those traits. Although it never really mattered to Lucy, because Lucy wasn't the type to be reckless enough to receive those consequences.
At least, that's what she thought to herself before coming to this town.
However, unlike Henry and her past classmate. Her actions were anything but innocuous. No, they were harmful. So, it was only fair for Lucy's consequence to be permanent.
But, because Lucy was reckless. She didn't think about any consequences when she turned a blind eye as Damon killed Mason. In fact, she completely forgot of the matter, letting her mind be selfishly swept away by her own problems.
Yet now, as she stood in front of Rose who carried a fatal werewolf bite, Lucy started to wonder if this was her consequence. If her letting Mason die, resulted in the female vampire getting bitten by a vengeful werewolf.
"How is it?" Rose asked as Damon checked her wound, causing Lucy to turn around, knowing her expression would give away her true feelings.
"Definitely..." the eldest Salvatore trailed off, his eyes taking in the rotting flesh. Fortunately for him though, he was an incredible liar. "Better."
