1x08 Chapter Seven: 162 Candles ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
Two. Two days since the halloween party. Two months since Lucy has arrived to Mystic Falls, and learned of the secrets here. Two injuries Lucy has endured since coming here. Yet more than twelve bodies, died on the grounds of this town. And somehow the young Salvatore has witnessed two of those bodies. But every time she does, it never makes her prepared for the next, or the next, or the next. It only makes Lucy guilty for knowing how they actually died; and disgust, at seeing people she's met, lay on the ground with lifeless eyes staring right at her. And fear, for who might be next, maybe Caroline, Bonnie, or Tyler. But whoever they might be, Lucy will try her best to find a way to stop it, before it stops her.
Those restless thoughts seemed to cloud Lucy's mind as she got up from her bed, the pain from her ankle finally disappearing. Giving Lucy a ticket to school, however after the halloween party Lucy's view on Mystic Falls high school has changed, and certainly not for the better.
But luckily today was a weekend, so all Lucy had to do was nothing. Yet the sound of rustling and footsteps downstairs said otherwise.
Lucy quickly grabbed the satchel and the dagger in it, she tiptoed out of her room and saw an equally confused Stefan coming out of his room. He noticed the young girl and gestured for her to be near him, Lucy walked over to the older Salvatore and followed him.
They both descended the stairs, with Stefan leading the way, while Lucy followed closely behind, weapon in hand. Turning a corner and into the living room, Stefan looked around "Damon?" Complete silence could be heard in return. Lucy starts to back away into a wall, not wanting anyone to sneak up on her. Leaving the older Salvatore, to be put in the open.
A gut feeling — that Lucy was too familiar with — starts to arise, making her even more wary as she raises her dagger even higher. The younger Salvatore steps over to Stefan but instantly freezes when the brunet Salvatore gets knocked over by a speeding vampire. Lucy starts to panic as she quickly runs over to Stefan to help him, but she halts in her steps when the older Salvatore recognizes the intruder.
"Lexi?"
Lucy makes a face at his sudden words, mouthing the name as if it would help her understand. But all the vampire does is bare her fangs at him, making Lucy raise her dagger high. But Stefan's hand stops the young girl as she watches the intruder help Stefan up, the two smile at each other.
"Happy birthday." Lexi says with a smile, as if she didn't just tackle Stefan.

To say that Lucy was surprised would be an understatement, but after a rather swift introduction of the two girls. The three seemed to be getting along quite well and from what Lucy can tell, Stefan and Lexi are best friends who met when Stefan just became a vampire. Although that subject seemed to be touchyfor them, but the younger Salvatore thought that she shouldn't pry. Considering prying got her to discover how Katherine looked like. She shook her head, tuning in again to their conversation. Lucy heard laughter, she turned to them to see them laughing together. Making her smile, happy to know that today didn't have to be so chaotic and destructive as the previous ones. So she joined the two of them on the bed, and started jumping on it, listening to the two laugh while Lexi tried to stop Stefan from tickling her "stop!"
