PLAYA

The truck was barely even goin'. I guess, the frontal collision had done more than had been visible on first sight. Once I arrived back at the church, the motor was only sputterin', makin' me move only little so I even got off much earlier, dumpin' the truck in some side alley and takin' the rest of the way by foot.

They were all so happy, the ones seein' me were cheerin' and the others who didn' were just drunk and happy by themselves. Julius and the others were sittin' at a table inside the church, drinkin' and discussin' how to deal with the Carnales with loud voices.

"Playa!"

Julius saw me first, immediately jumpin' off his chair to greet me.

"How was it? Where's Lin?"

I couldn' talk again. A heavy lump inside my throat stopped me from it, makin' it impossible to. But I had to, Julius expected me to so I cleared my throat – it hurt so much – and told 'em what happened.

"Lin's dead. They knew we were comin' and Sharp killed her; locked her in a trunk and drowned her. It must've been a mole – probably Donnie – he drove Sharp away. Lin had managed to kill Price tho' before. After I tried to save Lin, I followed Sharp and rammed his getaway vehicle. Donnie probably died as I did so and I shot William Sharp personally. He's dead for sure."

I left 'em standin' there to deal with the news while I pulled up a chair and added it to the ones already at the table, takin' a seat in it. I grabbed a beer, opened it with the tip of another as I smacked the two of them on my sole and took several large gulps of the cheap alcohol.

I had not known Lin. The pain that I felt was 'cause I witnessed it first-hand. 'Cause I couldn' do anythin' to save her. 'Cause it reminded me of my mom. After a while though, they joined me back at the table, each of 'em takin' the seat they had been in previously. All eyes were focused on Julius.

"So the Rollerz are gone then... I'll send in some men to take care of resistance and you Dex to deal with organizin' them. They are Saints now. Troy will call you as planned."

Dex nodded, finished his own beer and probably went off to the workshop, the Rollerz' place of operations.

"As to you, Playa: I want ya to go and rest, ye did well on ya first mission. In the mornin', you'll go with Troy who'll explain everythin' ye need to know about how you'll deal with Los Carnales, ya dig?"

I nodded. The alcohol was already takin' effect and I was afraid of my speech to be slurry. I was always the one to get the side effects fastest, even with the weakest of alcohols. Had been this way back in High School and was just the same way, now.

"Just pick a place to sleep, everythin' is free to everyone."

I shook Julius' hand, nodded the others goodnight and went off to find myself a more comfortable mattress or couch to sleep on. I picked a brown leather one which smelled least of vomit, alcohol and cum and made myself comfortable in it. I fell asleep within minutes and the alcohol welcomed a surprisingly calm night...
