JOHNNY

If I hadn' just defeated the king of hell, I never would have believed a single thing I was was witnessin': Everything was black. The only thing that I could see was myself. If I hadn' felt ground beneath my feet, I would've guessed that I was floatin' in mid-air.

I grew very impatient after only a short while in darkness. The feelin' for time is different when almost all of your senses cannot function. But then bright golden clouds broke the black, beaming upon me like a floodlight. I had been detained by by four strange bein's, lookin' even weirder than Satan and any demon I had just killed.

They introduced themselves as the Four Cardinal Virtues, rulers of heaven and the embodiment of all that was good.

"I am Fortitudo, the embodiment of fortitude."

One began.

I am Temperantia, the embodiment of temperance."

"I am Iustitia, the embodiment of justice."

"I am Sapientia, the embodiment of prudence."

Until they had all introduced themselves. The Four continued to explain to me that with Zinyak, destroyin' Earth, he had boosted Armageddon and had enabled Satan to march on the Gates of Heaven with the Boss as the leader of his army.

The Four therefore decided to grant me a wish for my initiative. I could choose outta five but they also warned me about the consequences each one brings with it. First: Infinite Knowledge; second: to be reunited with Eesh in Heaven; third: to become Hell's new ruler; fourth: the Saints shall find a new earth-like planet which is inhabited by a powerful war species though and fifth: to turn back the past seven years and dare a new beginning with all my current memories still intact.

The Four gave me as much time as I needed, for they told me to have stopped it. But the decision was easy for me.

Infinite Knowledge was intriguin' but not somethin' I needed. To see Eesh again was somethin' I considered but I was not one to dwell in the past anymore. And I had somethin' else thought through anyway. I knew that the Boss had already promised Jezebel to become new ruler of hell, meanin' that this job was already taken. The Saints had suffered so much under the Zin, a new war species could mean the same.

The only option was the retcon and so I told the Four what I wanted. I was confident. Since I would have all my memories from now, I could warn my friends and prevent some fatal outcomes. Have Playa, Carlos, and Eesh still among us. A win-win situation for everyone...
