Chris POV:

As we went outside, I saw that Brooklyn was thinking. Then a smile appeared on her face.
- What were you thinking? - I asked as I walked by her.
- A pleasant memory came to mind!
- Will you tell me? - I asked her.
- When I was younger, my father always brought me here to Roy's restaurant! We usually had lunch here! And after every lunch I got an ice cream! I just loved it! Now... I'm glad if we can talk...! We are not in a bad place, but they are not looking for my company and I am not looking for theirs! - she said with a small smile on her face, but this smile seemed to be insincere. Her heart must have hurt. She just didn't want me to see it.
- Will you allow me to take you somewhere else? - I asked her. She didn't answer, just nodded. - Come! - I extended my hand towards her. I don't know if it was by chance or instinct, but she reached for my hand. It was a pleasant feeling, and my heart beat faster.
We went to the beach, at this time the atmosphere is pleasant here on weekdays, the place is not full of parties but with couples having dinner and families walking.
- Wait here, I'll be right back! - I told her, and she just smiled and nodded. After a couple of minutes, I walked towards her with two glasses in my hand.
- Here you go! - I handed her the cold glass, the contents of which were a pleasant memory for her. I saw that she was touched, and now that small smile was really from happiness.
- Thank you Chris! - she thanked and took a big sip from her ice cream with a straw.
- Ah, brain freeze! - she stopped as she tried to get used to the cooling brain numbing effect.
- Slowly! You also have to get sick and not be able to come to work because of me! - I told her.
- Could you cook me the healing soup! - she smiled at my concern.
- I would love to cook for you! - I answered her as I sipped my ice cream. - Come, I'll take you home, you must be tired today!
- Let's go!
When we got to her house, I honestly didn't wan the day to end. I didn't want her to go in.
- Thank you for today Chris! - Brooklyn turned to me.
- I thank you for coming with me!
The she started towards the house and I towards the car.
- Hey Chris! - she shouted after me. When I turned around, she was standing in front of me. My gaze met his eyes. Then she pressed a kiss on my face. - Good night! - then, sending me a smile, she ran back into the house.
I got into the car and waited for my heartbeat to return to normal. I like her, that's no doubt. I would like to spend more time with her, I would like to get to know her even better and I would like to be a part of her life. With these thoughts I left the street of this wonderful girl.
The next morning I went to Anne's cafe and bought two caramel coffees. As soon as I parked at the studio, I immediately went to the make-up artist. There was Sarah doing make-up for one of the supporting characters, and there was Brooklyn, this beautiful angelic creature.
- Good morning! - I said hello, then I stepped inside the door.
- Good morning Chris! - Sarah greeted me.
- Good morning! - Brooklyn smiled at me.
- Oh Chris! Didn't you just bring it to me? - Sarah asked, nodding towards the glass in my hand.
- Um, honestly, I brought this to...Brooklyn! - I went to the girl.
- For me? - she asked as her master looked at me.
- Yes, I remember you like this! Caramel! - I answered as I handed over the fresh caramel coffee.
- Thank you! You are very nice! - she took the glass from my hand.
- I'm going, Nora must be waiting because of the outfit, but we'll see each other again! - I said to the girl. - Have a nice day! - then I went out the door.
- Chris! - I heard someone shouting my name behind me. Yes, I wasn't wrong, it was her.
- Brooklyn!
- I was thinking that if you wanted, you could come over with Dodger after work!
- I thought this was my offer to you and Bailey! - I laughed to myself.
- I know, I know! But I have a big yard, so they can run around, and I'll bake something when you come!
- Oh, so you're good at baking and I'm good at cooking?
- Noo, I didn't say I was strong! - she laughed to herself. - Let's say that I bake edible food! But if you don't feel like it or you have other plans, that's fine..!
- If I can be with you, I will gladly go...that is, we will go! - I corrected myself. I saw that she was embarrassed.
- Do not say things like that! - her hit my arm lightly. I love when she's embarrassed, she's so cute. - Then I'll wait for you! - then she turned back towards the room. I can't believe it. I finally felt like I was on track! I got more and more courage to show my feelings. And I felt that she didn't mind either.
