Chris POV:

She is sitting next to me in the car without sayinga word and I don't know how I can bring a small smile to her face. Or at least make her feel that I'm here, she's not alone. For the first time, I felt that my heart ached because I had to see her like this. And I feel helpless.
- Could you...please not take me home yet? - Brooklyn asked as she still started ahead.
- Where will I take you? You just have to say and we can go.
- Anywhere...I just don't want to be alone... - she said while a tear rolled down her face.
- If you want, I'll take you to my place. I have divine ice creams. - I told her as I wiped the tear from her face.
- That...sounds really good. -she smiled. Today I see for the first time this wonderful and at the same time charming smile on her face. I missed it.
I started towards my house. Of course, the weather also made us feel this not-so-wonderful day...it started to rain. As I parked in the yard, I ran to open the door for her and put my jacket over her head to protect her from the rain. But not with much success. Her clothes were completely soaked, and water was dripping from her hair. As we entered, Dodger ran towards us, tail wagging. And Brooklyn started petting my little friend.
- Don't get cold. I'll give you some dry clothes, take a shower.
- You don't have to. I'm fine. It's just a little water.
- Don't object. If you catch a cold, I'll take care of you at twenty-four. And I don't need to say that it takes enough nerve. - I laughed to myself.
- Oh, is that a threat? - Brooklyn laughed too.
- Here you go. - I handed the clean, dry clothes to the girl.
Giving up that she had no chance of winning against me, Brooklyn quickly took a warm shower and changed into my clothes.
- My clotches looks great on you. - I looked up from the kitchen as I started to put together a small dinner for ourselves.
- It's a good thing we didn't go to my place because it would have been quite a headache what clothes to give you. - this angelic creature laughed.
- I would have run around naked in your apartment. - I thought rather loudly.
- After all, I don't even understand why you cover this body with clothes. - she joked with me.
- Do you think I have a good body? - I asked her as I twitched my eyebrows in her direction.
- I didn't say that. - she said in confusion.
- I'm sad. - I played away my sadness. - I expected you to say "you have a divine figure Chris".
- Oh, but if you know this yourself, why should I say it? - she laughed again, and inside I could have jumped with happiness that I managed to make her smile despite today.
- So I just have a divine body. - I told her as I put the plate of spaghetti in front of her. - I hope you like it. Suddenly I couldn't think of anything else.
- One of my favorites. Thanks. - she smiled at me. And I anxiously awaited her opinion. - Uhm! This is divine. -she said as she tasted it.
- Now I should be offended that you called my pasta divine sooner than me. - I sat down opposite her.
- You are a great man. - she looked into my eyes.
- Then give me a chance to make you happy. - I looked deep into her eyes.
- Chris..
- No. Don't tell. Let me live in the knowledge that you are not ready yet. - I objected to her.
- You are too perfect for me. - she smiled as she poked the spaghetti on his plate.
- I'll wait until you're ready. I will make you fall in love with me.
- Chris! - she said to me.
- I like you Brooklyn. And I don't even want to hide that.
- You are nothing, Chris Evans. - she smiled as her eyes met mine again.
- Ice cream and movie afterwards? - I winked at her.
- Don't wink. - she said to me as an agelic smile appeared on her face again.
- Jeez, Brooklyn. What are you thinking? - I crossed my hand in front of me.
- What? - Brooklyn asked and fell to her. - Jeez! Chris! No! You are a fool! - she laughed out loud.
After dinner, we started filming while sitting on the sofa while we ate the pleasant cold sweets.
- It's almost time for me to go. - Brooklyn said.
- Stay longer. You said you didn't want to be alone anyway.
- I feel better now, thanks to you. - she got up from the couch. - Your clothes...
- Leave it.
- Aren't you scared if you were at my place in wet clothes, would you have to dance out of the bath in a skirt? - she laughed to herself.
- Yes. Just because of that. - I laughed myself.
- Well, thank you very much Chris...for today. As terrible as it started...now I'm in a good mood, thanks to you.
- You don't have to thank me. I'm happy to see you anytime. - I opened the door for her. - Are you sure you don't want me to take you home?
- No. It's not raining anymore, and a little walk will do you good. - she smiled at me. - Good night Chris.
- Good night Brooklyn. - I said goodbye to the girl walking away from me. Yet such a strange feeling eluded me. I can't leave it. I closed my door and ran after her. She must have been thinking a lot because she didn't hear behind her. So I carefully reached for her hand.
- Jeez Chris! - the fear was visible on her face.
- I can't let you go. I'll walk you home.
- You are unstoppable.
I just smiled at that. And we didn't even notice that we were holding hands all the way to Brooklyn's house.
