colby didn't meet me as he usually did.
usually, i'd finish my patrol and he'd meet me at the ledge on top of a sky scraper.
i had no idea how he was getting up there.
it wasn't my business, so i didn't care.
light footsteps approached me, and i assumed it was colby. but it didn't sound like him.
he'd usually come in with an insult.
we'd fight for a little bit, and then one of us would get angry and leave.
taking our anger out on each other was the only purpose for our meetings. sometimes, i'd tell him about my day.
the only thing funnier than watching colby suffer is watching him get mad.
but, these footsteps were weird.
they were light and airy, just barely touching the ground. i quickly turned around.
