hartley snapped the photo, and amy groaned.
"yay! it's the day before christmas. my favorite day of the year." hartley set the phone down, with a squeal.
"wow, that is a lot of excitement for a fat guy coming down a chimney." amy yanked the bright red hat off her head.
"i love christmas!" cherry commented, adjusting her own red hat.
the front door swung open.
the maddens trailed in, followed by aria and jake, who were carrying the tree.
"hey, guys. here it is!" eva motioned to the tree.
"our first family christmas tree. we cut it down ourselves." vic grinned, proud of all his accomplishment.
"why would you cut it down yourself! you can just buy one." cherry spoke, confused.
"i told you guys!" aria wiped her hands on her boyfriends sleeve.
"also, who's we? i cut it down." jake wiped the dirt of his sleeve.
"and i told you to do it. that's teamwork, jake." vic waved off his son.
