"you deserve better, cher." colby reassured. "i'm really sorry about that. don't cry about him. he's not worth it."
"i think you're the prettiest girl in the world." he smiled. "but that's not why i like you. you're more than pretty. but i don't like you like that! we're friends."
"you're so funny. i like the way you smile. and i like your handwriting. i like the way you let me pick out the decorations for your nails. i like your music taste. i like the stickers you stick on my face."
"he's stupid for letting you go. you're the coolest person in the world."
colby was always drawn to her lips. he couldn't help it.
he was just always staring.
thinking.
she was so close to him. she was right there.
he wanted to place a gentle kiss on her lips and never let go.
but she was crying, and he wasn't going to kiss her when she couldn't even think straight.
she was sad. if she kissed him, she'd regret it the next day and it'd just make it awkward for the both of them, and they'd never be normal friends.
as much as colby wanted to kiss her, he cared about her as a friend more.
