Next morning I got woken up by Max's yelling."Y/n we're late again!!"Max yelled."Shit"I mumbled as I started to wake Jonathan up."Jonathan get up!"I whisper-yelled at him."What..What's happening?"His raspy voice said.His hair was messy and his black shirt all crumpled up.I really wanted to stay like this and keep looking at him but if I didn't stop my intrusive thoughts would win and I probably wouldn't go to school that day."We're late to school!"I said to him as I got up and quickly got changed.He got up and got his pants on as he prepared to go outside the window to his car."I'll see you in school lover boy"I kissed his lips before he jumped off the window onto the lower roof below."I love you"He mouthed once he dropped to his legs and ran away to his car.I smiled to myself and closed the window before unlocking my bedroom door."Why was your door locked and why do you have a blanket on the floor?"Max asked."Uh I was..I was doing yoga!Yes yoga"I exclaimed as I gently pushed her outside my room and closed to doors before we left for school.We got inside my car and drove away.I was paying close attention to the road and Max was looking outside her window."Wait can you turn the radio up?"Max said as I turned the volume up confusingly."..what's now known as 'The Munson Murder' is currently under investigation.If you have any tracings to Edward Munson please contact your local police station.Have a great day and be safe!"The reporter on the radio said."Edward Munson?Isnt that Eddie?"Max said looking at me with her eyes widened.I quickly pulled over trying to think."What the fuck?"I said under my breath."Y/n are you okay?What is this?"Max referred to what she had just heard on the radio."Max you cannot tell anyone about Eddie alright?Its all i'm asking you to do!"I said to Max as she nodded."Jeez Y/n you really think I'm going to rat him out?Im not that dumb plus we're being late so maybe we should go"Max said rolling her eyes."Yeah you're right "I mumbled as we drove away to school."Steve wait!"I yelled once I've seen Steve walking near my car."Have you heard about Eddie?"I asked him."No what about him?"He asked confusingly.As I was about to say something I heard Jonathan's voice from behind."Guys!Guys!!"He ran towards us."Have you heard the news?"Jonathan said looking at us.I just nodded."Can someone tell me what's going on?"Steve said frustrated."There was apparently a murder in Eddie's trailer"I said to Steve."Wait..he's not..?"Steve asked,sadness filling his voice."No..no he's not dead"I said reassuring him."But he's a prime suspect"Jonathan finished the sentence for me."Fuck dude"Steve leaned on my car putting his hands on top of his head."Where is he now?"Steve asked us.We both shrugged our shoulders as we looked at each other.Eventually we entered the school as the people around it gave us dirty looks.Like if we knew something they didn't.I noticed a poster on the news board.It was a picture of Chrissy with angel faces and hearts all over it."Shit man"Steve mumbled as he saw the picture and he just walked away."Hey everything's going to be fine"Jonathan grabbed me by my shoulders making me turn to look at him once he noticed the sadness fill my blank face."Freak's friends"I heard a voice behind me as I turned around only to see Jason and his friends looking at me and Jonathan."I wouldn't be surprised if they helped him do it"One of the guys said laughing."Dude just back off"Jonathan said as he grabbed my arm."Yeah?Why don't you tell me where's your little friend hiding camera boy?"Jason mocked Jonathan."Jason stop!We have no idea where Eddie is"I said."Tell that to the police!"Jason yelled as someone got in the way of us."Alright show's over.Jonathan,Y/n my office now!"Principal Higgins said as I rolled my eyes and we went to the office.We entered only to be greeted by Steve,Nancy and Robin."Alright kids,i'm going to make myself clear one more time.Where is Edward Munson?"Chief Hopper asked as the five of us were sitting on a sofa in front of him."We have no idea"I said getting frustrated at this point."You know that it's a crime lying to the police officer,Y/l/n?"Principal Higgins said to me."We're not lying!"Nancy said with a harsher irritated voice.Chief Hopper scoffed as he got up,said something to Higgins and exited the office."Are we free to go?"Nancy asked.Principal Higgins nodded as we all exited the office too."This is such bullshit"I said."Let's just meet up tonight.Usual place.7 pm and figure this shit out"Steve said looking T all of us.We all agreed and went our way.
"Wait guys!"I exclaimed as all of them were sitting down in the basement area."Eddie was with us that night in the lab right?"I asked as they all nodded."Which means he has a walkie-talkie with him,right?"I asked once again."Yeah,what are you trying to say Y/n?"Robin asked me confused."If he has a walkie-talkie with him we could use it to communicate with him."I said as I immediately started looking for one around the room."Found it!"I said as I put it on the table in front of everyone."I don't think this will work guys"Steve said leaning back into sofa as I rolled my eyes at him."Eddie?Eddie do you copy?"I asked through the object."Cmon Eddie"I said.Nothing."Eddie are you there?Can you hear me?Cmon Eddiee"I said hopelessly."Loud and clear ma'am"Suddenly we all heard his voice as we all got up smiling with excitement."Where are you?"I asked him once the group calmed down."I-There's abandoned house near the lake.Ask Dustin he'll know."He said with a slow,scared voice."Y/n I didn't do it.I swear that to you.It was something else.Something darker"Eddie said before the line got cut off."Eddie?"I yelled."Shit"I mumbled once the walkie-talkie turned off."To Dustin's it is!"I said awkwardly before some of us went to gather the informations about the house.
