Izuku Midoriya aka The Lightning Demon

Izuku has the ability to absorb energy through his weapon and use it either boost his physical attributes or emit powerful black energy strikes.
Personality: Confident, serious, values honor above all else.
Background: Izuku had never known his parents. His mother was a clan leader for Clan Mūnsuraisu, the clan that fought the oni and was supposedly taught by the betrayed oni king and the moon itself to kill oni. His father was supposedly unknown, but was a powerful warrior nevertheless. Izuku seemed to take after both of them, becoming the clan's best warrior by the age of ten, and was still improving. One day, a team from the outside world, of which they had no contact with, came, saying that the oni, who had disappeared thousands of years ago, had returned. Now, Izuku and his best friend, Eve Taurus, are being sent out to fight off the oni while the rest of the clan prepared for war.

Eve has the ability to absorb energy through her weapon and use it either boost her physical attributes or emit powerful red energy strikes (note that Izuku's quirk is much stronger for an unspecified reason, @Tempest68 knows why)
Personality: Cold, confident, uncaring for those outside the Mūnsuraisu Clan.
Background: Eve was always part of the Mūnsuraisu clan, but held a clear distain for the outside world of which they had no contact with. She always wears a mask because of her parents doing. In an act that got them banished, they branded her face with the mark of the clan, claiming that she was to be nothing less then the best warrior, and trained her till she could no longer stand. This training made Eve one of the strongest samurai in the clan, but nothing compared to Izuku Midoriya. At first, this sparked jealousy, but watching him train, seeing his commitment and valor, she developed a crush that slowly grew into something more. Now, she and Izuku are being sent out to hold off oni while the rest of the village prepared for war.

Background: The Mūnsuraisu Clan is one the most ancient samurai clan still around today. They are known for their honor, ferocity, and steel. In ancient times, before the oni disappeared, they fought alongside the betrayed oni king to protect the world from the evil oni. Their blades were made from a special super dense steel that could cut through oni skins without shattering or even cracking, this was called moon steel, and was the strongest steel on Earth before the Mūnsuraisu Clan exhausted it in their war against the evil oni. They fought hard under their lead family, the Midoriya's, and drove the oni off. One day, all the oni, save the betrayed king, disappeared. When this happened, the Mūnsuraisu Clan retreated to a secluded valley in the mountains far from any civilization, where they stayed for hundreds of years without contact with the outside world, keeping them in an ancient lifestyle of warrior training, waiting for the day the oni would return. Now, that day had come. Brought to the civilian council, who ruled in place of Izuku the last living Midoriya till he was of age, was a team of humans with odd features and technology the likes of which the clan had never seen. At first, the clan thought they were oni or some other form of yōkai, but when they shared their harrowing tale of large men with red skin, tusk like fanged teeth, horns, and impenetrable skin, the clan immediately sprung into action. They sent their miners to work, mining the last moon steel in existence which was underneath the valley, got their blacksmiths going on the what they already had, repairing and remaking old blades, and sent for Izuku Midoriya and Eve Taurus, the two strongest warriors in the clan. Izuku and Eve would be gifted their own specially crafted blades before they left, and would go to hold of the oni while the others prepared for war.

Imbued with the light of a total solar eclipse, this blade is capable of taking massive amounts of damage, to the point of being called invincible, and is even better at absorbing it as kinetic energy. This blade is even said to have the soul of the eclipse residing within it.

Made with blood from an oni and moon steel, this is one of the sharpest blades to ever exist. It isn't nearly as tough as it's sibling, The Darkest Day, but can take many hits without needing repairs. It is, however, better at projecting energy.
