The burden of expectations

When we were kids

Our hearts were free

We wished to grow up

But had no idea how it would be

The burden of expectations

Turned our souls into a stone

Day and night society pressures us

To run for an invisible throne

Not everyone becomes a king

Most of the souls will break

The poison of ultimate failure

Is dangerous than a venomous snake

Everyone deserves joy and peace

But people never give it to losers

The ones who didn't live up to the expectations

Are seen as poor and unworthy beggars

As humans we will always want better

There is nothing wrong with that

There will always be inequality

And the failures will be forced to live like a rat
