AS the weeks passed Brandy became rapidly busier, cheer had picked up due to their other coach coming back from maternity leave, and the first big exams of the year were rapidly becoming closer. Though the weather stayed the same, even if August had passed, the earth was still scorching. The days were long and it was nigh unbearable to be outside for long periods of time. It seemed like the days continued to feel painfully long, even if more and more began to pile onto everyone's plates.

Brandy and Eddie elected to move their tutoring to Bungie's diner on account of the free food and better atmosphere. It didn't go over Brandy's head that even if Eddie got to eat for free he still gave a considerably large tip. She found it sweet, even if the money was crumpled and had pen marks on most of the bills.

Brandy let out a groan as she tilted her head back, her civics teacher had declared it was 'too nice of a day to be inside' Though Brandy would have much preferred memorizing the names of court cases instead of sitting in the blazing sun with other miserable teenagers. She looked at Chrissy, "This may have been a bad day to wear long sleeves," Brandy admitted.

"Hey, at least you have on a skirt," The strawberry blonde said as she fanned herself with a folder.

"Yeah, because my thighs getting all sweaty and rubbing together with no barrier is just what I needed today," Brandy rolled her eyes. "I need to get some water," Brandy stood, intending to go find the water fountain.

"Would you fill my bottle up, pretty please?" The girl asked with doe eyes.

"Mmhm," Brandy hummed, taking the half-empty bottle from her friend. She trudged her way down the bleacher's steps, even though she had her hair up sweat still clung to her neck, making her feel uncomfortable and filthy. Her make-up had practically melted off her face. Not that she had minded much, she had slowly been wearing less and less makeup as the weeks went on. Her freckles no longer seemed as much as an impurity to her as they once did.

There was a small shaded area next to the concession stand they had for soccer and football games alike, in the shaded area there was a water fountain that a few straggling students gathered near. Brandy let out a sigh of temporary relief as she entered the shade. Moving over to the water fountain she bent down, splashing some of the icy water onto her face, minding to avoid her mascara-coated eyes. She knew there was probably a pink tint on her cheeks from the sheer heat.

She filled up Chrissy's water bottle next, making sure to fill it nearly to the brim. Brandy straightened her back up, feeling a light pressure around her throat. She gripped at the arm around her neck, pulling it away as she turned around with a grin. "What are you-" Her smile faltered slightly as she looked at Jameson. "Oh, I didn't know it was you," She chuckled awkwardly.

"You were maybe expecting maybe Tommy Lee?" he joked. "You know, that might be the first time you've been disappointed to see me since I invited Angie Miller to the Snow Ball dance in eighth grade." The redhead looked at her with a concerned look, though he tried his best to mask it.

"She stole my lunch money for six months in seventh grade," Brandy reminded. "It was a betrayal worthy of treason in my book."

"She was the only person who would go with me!" He defended himself.

"She did it to piss me off!" Brandy shouted with a laugh. "She's still a bitch too." Brandy crossed her arms with a pout.

"Tell me about it, I sit next to her in art class," Jameson said with wide eyes. Brandy looked at his face, it was nearly bright pink.

"You're getting burnt." She told him with an arched brow.

"Comes with the complexion." He gestured to himself. "So," He nudged her shoulder. "What are you doing in two weeks from now, birthday girl?"
