EDDIE watched Brandy in skepticism, they sat on his bed. It was Thursday but she practically volunteered to help him with his homework, insisting that she was fine with it, deep down he thought she needed something to distract her. And the longer he watched her jittery movements the more correct he thought he was. Sure Eddie wasn't necessarily book smart, but he wasn't an idiot. He could read body language and social cues, most of the time that is.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked unsurely.

Brandy looked up from the homework she was frantically looking over. "What?" She questioned, her brown eyes looking uneasily at him.

"Just, you look nervous." He told her.

"I'm fine," She shook her head, looking back down at the paper.

Eddie slowly took the homework from her hands, placing it down on his bedside table. "Sure," He agreed in light sarcasm "And I'm Kirk Hammett."

Brandy gave him an annoyed look with a sigh, "Just give me the paper Eddie, I was just about to get to the punctuation corrections," She leaned forward to grab the paper, just to have Eddie snatch it away. Standing, he moved away from the girl.

Eddie watched her reactions carefully, making sure he wasn't overstepping too much, but he was still curious as to what was her ailment was. More so why she was trying so hard to act as if she wasn't bothered by something. The boy looked at his paper, wondering if it was something on the parchment. When he found nothing out the ordinary besides his own shitty work he looked back to her confused.

"I know my grammar is terrible but I didn't think it was 'make you tremble from nerves' terrible." He joked, much to her unamusment.

"I'm serious," Brandy stood as well, stalking towards him with an exhausted expression. If he wasn't so stubborn maybe he would've felt bad.

"So am I," He told her, moving the paper when she went to grab it yet again. "As a heart attack."

"Just-" Brandy made a quick move to snatch the paper, though Eddie was quicker. "Give-" quicker again. "Give it to me," She groaned.

"What's wrong?" He asked again.

"Right now?" He nodded at her. "You!" Brandy dashed behind him to grab the homework.

Eddie held the paper above himself. "Liar liar pants on fire, or- skirt in your case." He looked her over.

"Munson," She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, "You have about five seconds before I lose my shit,"

"Looks like you were already doing that," He grinned smugly, at this point he was trying to provoke her. But he wanted to know what was wrong, and she clearly wasn't going to tell him unless he prodded at her.

Brandy jumped to grab the paper, Eddie stepped back, not allowing her to grab him as leverage. "I'm actually going to kill you," She chuckled, though Eddie didn't know if it was out of frustration or enjoyment, to be frank, judging by the face she wore he was a little scared to ask.

"Please, you don't have the ba-" Before he knew it Eddie was flat on his back against the mattress of the bed, Brandy looking smugly down at him with the homework in hand. Eddie tried not to make much of a fuss, but Brandy straddling him with an agitated expression made it hard. Dare he say how pissed she looked was hot? Or maybe it was the slightly awkward position that he found desirable.

Brandy climbed off him with a mumbled 'sorry', though Eddie wasn't complaining in the first place. She went back to the paper, laying it across her lap as she circled things that were incorrect or could be changed to improve his grade as a whole.

Eddie still wasn't satisfied with her demeanor, even if he found it minorly attractive. He decided to be less aggravating, and more annoying as he lay his head on the paper on her lap. Brandy looked down at him with exasperation, seemingly having given up, "What?" She sighed.

Eddie looked up at her with sympathetic eyes, a drastic change in his behavior from just minutes before. "What's the matter?" He asked quietly.

"I'm just, jittery." The blonde confessed.

"Yeah, I gathered that," He deadpanned.

"The game on Saturday," She finally said. "It's the first one of the year,"

"You've cheered for tons of games before, why's this one tripping you out?" Brandy smiled solemnly down at Eddie, not because of him, just his words. She wasn't used to people really caring about her worries or anxieties, granted she didn't really let people know about them.

"It's different." She bit her lip nervously. "I wanted to," Brandy sighed, looking to the ceiling. "Hold on." She gently pushed his head off her thighs, moving to grab her bag. "I wanted to know if you would go," She sheepishly suggested, pulling out a ticket to the basketball game. "You don't have to," She quickly said. "But I'm sure Lucas would appreciate it, even if he's on the bench, I would too a little bit."

Eddie plucked the ticket from her fingertips, looking it over skeptically, like it was an illusion to be cast away the second that he accepted that it was real. He looked back at her with raised brows, his lips slightly agape. "You want... Me," He pointed at himself. "To come watch you cheer?"

Brandy didn't meet his gaze, she just grabbed the ticket from him, grabbing her bag to shove it back into the infernal pocket that it came out of, "Just- forget I asked okay?" She breathed out a sigh of defeat, trying to mask it under a guise of nonchalantness and indifference. "It's not that important, I just thought it would be-"

"Whoa, whoa!" He stopped her. "Who said I wasn't going?" Eddie asked, grabbing the ticket back from her.

Did he want to go? Hell no. It wasn't his thing, he didn't why it was anybody's thing. But the look on the girl's face made it all worth it. From shock to confusion to pure unadulterated joy. Eddie beamed at the way her eyes crinkled and nose scrunched in glee, her smile bright and happy. Besides, it was only for a little while.

"You'll go?" Brandy asked in a mixture of enactment and surprise. "Promise?"

"I promise," He wrapped his pinky around hers.

"Jason's gonna give me hell," She said with a helpless-sounding laugh.

"Carver?" Eddie asked, trying not to spit the name as he spoke it.

"I'm judging you don't like him?" Brandy asked, though the answer was so obvious it might as well've smacked her on the forehead.

"Jason Carver," Eddie said the name with a sickeningly sweet tone, one that was laced with venom. "He made early high school hell," He told her. "Don't mind it as much now, but he clearly still has an issue, don't even know what it is, to be honest."

"He thinks you're into Satan shit," Brandy laughed.

"Naturally," Eddie rolled his wrist. "What with him dick riding God and everything." Brandy could've screamed as she let out a chortle, immediately covering her mouth, trying to hide the noise that had already come out. "I'm serious!" Eddie laughed grabbing her shoulders.

"I wouldn't repeat that, Jason's friends would snap you in half like a twig," Brandy advised humorously.

"They'd have to catch me first," He grinned.
