Y/n Pov:

All day felt like a blur. Everything went by so fast. 

But now is the meeting. The emperor hasn't invited me to any big meetings yet so today is the first. From what I have heard, the only other attendees are the Golden Guard, Kiki, and the coven heads.

We all walk into some kind of dark ominous looking room.

"The Day of Unity approaches," Kikimora starts as the coven heads walk in "where we'll celebrate the purification of magic under the coven system." She pauses "just as the Titan intended." Kiki turns to the heads "As heads of the nine covens, we celebrate your efforts to complete this plan. For this you have earned a glimpse of the reward that awaits." 

The emperor speaks up "Step forward" the coven heads take off their badges and put them on the edge of some kind of blue fire? The fire rages and they all step back in shock. The fire show the titan's head, but something is moving around it. It flashes and when I see the fire again the titan head is behind some kind of place with many buildings and trash. Earth. It must be

"The larger your covens grow, the more pawer we have to unite our realm," Belos says "while the worthy shall inherit a utopia free of wild magic" Suddenly a deep sound comes from the emperor's stomach.  Sheesh someones hungry. He then clutches his stomach and the golden guard rushes to help him up,

As they walk off Kiki tries to follow "No. Stay here. I can handle this alone" The golden guard says, holding up his hand to stop Kiki. Kiki grumbles and glares at Goldie. 

We all leave and I head to my room I pass Kiki listening to whatever conversation Goldie and Belos are having and I visibly cringe. Goldie walks out and stops me.

"I have a mission tonight" his voice is quiet and he looks around to see if anyone is listening. "Can you come?" I nod my head and he gives me a slip of paper. I walk to my room before opening the note

Dear Y/n,

His handwriting is familiar

Meet me at my airship in front of the castle at midnight sharp

-Goldie

Just as asked I meet him with his airship at midnight

"Where are we going Goldie?" I ask as he starts up the ship.

"Just collecting some palismen for the emperor" he replies.

"Let me get this straight you decided to mess with my sleep schedule and make me spend time with you in the middle of the night for a mission that you could have easily done yourself?" I stare at him blankly.

"I think Kiki is up to something and I could use the extra help" he says turning back to look at me.

I roll my eyes at the mention of Kiki but don't reply.  We stand together in silence for a while, well almost silence, Goldie is whistling in the whole time.

After a while of flying in the ship we arrive at... hexside? He pucks up some kind of nest thing and we head in the direction of the castle again. 

"Hi-yah!!" Someone slaps my back. I turn back to see the human slapping her glyph paper things on both my and Goldie's back. 

"Huh?" Goldie and I say in unison before we are blasted off the airship. We quickly get a hold of our staffs though and teleport back. 

"Okay, how do I land this thing?" The human says as I land in the back of the ship making as little noise as possible. 

"Oh you just pull that cord above your head." Goldie says.

"Ohh thank yo—" The human trailed off when she saw Goldie.

"Hiii~" Goldie says. I use my staff to tie her up in the rear end of the ship. 

"Hey!" She exclaims, turning to me.

"Good to see you too, human." He replies dusting off his cloak. 

"Why are you stealing palismen, Golden Guard?" She scolds.

He averts his gaze back to her. "Frankly," He teleports to the back to the ship and step in front of her. "You should be more concerned about yourself.  For the crime of- rocketing me off my own ship, you'll be locked in the dingiest cell in the  Conformatorium for the rest of your sad little life."

"Whatever I already broke out of there, like, twice." The human scoffs. 

"Then we'll just zap you to dust and throw you into the boiling sea. That better?" I interrupt. 

The human grumbles "Good" Goldie says while walking back up to the controls. I come with, not wanting to sit with the human. We put our staffs down and continue flying.

"Say, how did you get back on the ship so fast?" 

"Staff" Goldie states.

"Cool." The human stomps their foot and ice knocks both of out staffs off the ship. 

"No" Goldie yells. He chuckles and turns to the human. "Human, it'll take more than that to thwart my mission." As if on cue we all hear a loud roar from above. The ship shakes vigorously.

"What is that?" The human screams while trying to hang on. 

The beast slashes through the air ship and we all scream as we fall.

I open my eyes slowly and try to recall what just happened. I look around to see a small red cardinal help the human escape from her ropes. She groans and looks down to see the small bird helping her out. 

"Huh? Little rascal?" Her ropes tear apart from the pecking "Oh, thank you." She groans in pain and rubs her head. She then picks up the golden guard's staff. She then turns her attention over to my direction where I see Kiki.

"Kikimora ma'am, we've found the palismen. They seem rattled but unharmed" Says a captain whom I don't recognize.

"Very good, Captain. Return to the city and prepare them for travel." She says holding Goldie's mask. Kikimora starts to walk away but the captain stops her again.

"Is it true, ma'am? Is the Golden Guard really..." 

"This is all the remains," the Captain gasps "such a horrible accident. Probably caused by the incompetent pilot." Kiki says. I scoff I'm the only one who gets to make fun of his incompetence.

"I'll," she pauses "alert the castle. Scouts to Latissa" they all turn and leave. Except Kiki she stays. She blows on a whistle and that thing from earlier crawls out. 

"Excellent work, my pet." The human gasps and I elbow her to keep quiet "Now, find the rest of him and have yourself a nice little snack." She gives the beast the mask and starts walking off. "I'll call for you soon."

Me and The human look to where Goldie is lying down. "Come on human, we need to get him"

"Don't worry I wont leave him." She replies and we walk towards him. She walks over to him and starts muttering about how young he looks and hexside stuff. I stop when I can fully see his face. Hunter. My stomach drops. It's Hunter. It always has been.

I am aware I haven't posted in a while. Sorry about that. I was away for a week and had some other stuff going on in my personal life, but I will try to post again shortly
