Chapter 4 - It's Nice To Have A Friend

Ophi's Pov:

I watched as all the zodiacs filled the room, some wearing the right clothes for training while other were wearing heels or jeans.

God, what do they see in these kids. I thought, mentally facepalming.

They all stood in horizontal line in front of us and I started to slowly study each one of them.

Aries and Taurus were bickering about who ate the last bagel this morning, Gemini just looked happy to be there. Cancer, Pieces, and Virgo were practically shaking, Leo had a smirk on his face like he was hiding something.

Maybe he ate the last bagel? I thought looking him up and down again.

Moving on, Scorpio, Aquarius and Sagittarius looked insanely bored while Capricorn's eyes shot around the room as if he was trying to figure out the purpose of him being here.

"Hello everyone, welcome to your first training session!" The queen gave a warm smile.

Capricorn's hand quickly shot up.

I rolled my eyes before calling on him, "Yes, Capricorn?" He glared at me for a minute before talking.

"No offense, but what exactly is this 'training' for?" He aimed the question towards The Queen more than me while making quotations on his hands emphasizing the 'training' part.

"Well, I'm glad you asked!" She replied almost immediately, like the answer was hard wired into her. "Since you twelve will be the future of your individual kingdoms, we want to make sure you are safe and protected. As well as, learning about the responsibility's and power it takes to rule. We just want to make sure that you all are absolutely 100% prepared."

My eyes darted up to the kids.

"What kingdoms will go to who?" Capricorn asked her, still not fully convinced that he should or wanted to be here.

Her smile grew a little, "Actually, your trainers will help you out with that!"

"Trainers?..." Aqua looked over at Sagittarius sharing a equally confused expression.

"Yes, trainers." The Queen continued, "Each of you will have personal professionals to help you figure everything out."

"How can you be a professional at ruling kingdoms?" Aries softly chuckled a little still not understanding what she just said.

"Well, Aries, luckily your trainers have had some experience!" She smiled and gestured to the door.

A little intrigued, I looked over to where she was pointing.

People flew through the door, each of them looking completely different but identical at the same time.

I watched as Cancers head flicked over to Taurus and how she responded with just a slight shrug.

"Hey everybody!" A blonde haired woman spoke up grinning while a black haired man next to her laughed a little.

"Heyy!" Leo smiled brightly back her.

"Ophi, would you like to assign each kid with their trainer please?" The Queen tilted her head in my direction.

I sighed under my breath and picked up the sheet while walking over to the toddlers- I mean, the Zodiacs.

"Alright, everyone listen because im not in a good mood to repeat this twice." I say shouting over the twelve kids.

"You're never in a good mood." Pisces says looking at me blankly.

I glare at him before continuing, "Okay, Aries with Mars, Taurus with Venus, Gemini with Mercury, Cancer with Moon, Leo with Sun, Virgo with Earth, Libra with Astrid, Scorpio with Pluto, Sagittarius with Jupiter, Capricorn with Saturn, Aquarius with Uranus, and Pieces with Neptune."

All of the trainers made their way to each kid asking who was who and trying to find the right one.

After a little while everyone had their trainers with them and I returned to my spot.

"Alrighty! Now that everyone has their partners, I want to give you each a little time to get to know each other!" Everyone nodded not giving any rebuttals to The Queen.

I watched as they all started to go into separate parts of the room, some laughing and some already having a therapy session.

Geminis Pov:

Mercury was so cool! She had all the same opinions as me, she had a great taste in music (judging by the fact that her top Spotify artist was Britney Spears), she also was so much fun to talk trash with! She was going hard about all other the other trainers and the story's about what they've been through.

It definitely made me think if maybe me and the others were going to become as close as Mercury and her friends were.

I hoped so.

Virgos pov:

My trainer was calming, she told me why she was here and why she chose me as the ruler.

Though as steady as she tried to explain to me I still kinda freaked out.

I just couldn't wrap my head around where my future was headed.

"Hey." She spoke up making me flinch at the sudden sound and look up, "it's going to be okay. I was nervous the first time someone had to explain this to me too, but the great thing about it is that you can make it whatever you want it to be! Just because it's confusing now doesn't mean it won't make perfect sense later, you just need some guidance. Which is exactly why I'm here." She told me with a gentle smile.

I looked at her again, this time noticing the small details, like her dimples and her natural dirty blonde highlights in her long brown hair.

"Okay." I said giving in and smiling back.

Scorpios Pov:

"So, you liking it here so far?" Pluto asking me while he leaned back in a random chair that appeared out of nowhere.

"Um, yea, its cool I guess. The house is really
nice and some people are cool." I replied trying to find another chair to sit in.

"Don't worry you'll get used to them." He said pulling a seat from behind him for me to sit on, "with training and everything, you guys will be a group in no time. Or at least that's what happened with us."

I sat down still looking up at him, "Did you guys ever get annoyed at each other?"

"Oh, all the time!" He chuckled, "I remember Mars, Sun, and Jupiter would get into fights all the time about weird things and me and Astrid would always say stupid stuff to one another."

I smiled thinking about how me and my siblings used to do that.

"Although we all got on everyone's nerves, we did make a great team and none of it ment anything. Like I said, when your that close to people, you can't stay mad very long, you guys are like family."
