Geminis Pov:

Sweat dripped off my face as I bent down to rest.

Is it to late to back out?

"Come on Gem! We don't have all day, move it!" Ophi shouted at me and blew his whistle.

I sighed and flipped him off before running to the next obstacle, which was ropes and ladders.

"God, he's such a dick." Sag complained, already there waiting for me. "It's so humid and mucky and he's making us run around like chickens with our heads cut off."

"Yeah, what are we even practicing for?" I added while grabbing the rope to make sure it was sturdy.

"I don't know but I bet I can run this whole course faster than you." She bragged before running up the ladders and getting a head start.

"Hey! That's not fair!" I shouted before chasing after her.

I thrusted my self over the ledge and slid down the bare wood, scraping my knee while doing so.

Ophi cheered from his chair, "That's what I'm talking about Gem! Now keep it moving!"

Sag smiled back at me while I rolled my eyes at him.

Next up was the army crawl.

I fell on the ground in front of the wire and put my elbows down to crawl like a baby. The mud underneath me pushed up and against my training clothes as I sloshed through it.

Sag was right in front of me so I pulled on her leg a little to mess with her.

"Gem you sore loser!" She softly kicked me in the shoulder. "You can't do that, it's cheating."

"I was just getting back at you because you had a head start." I pleaded.

She ignored my statement and quickly got out of the pit, with me following behind her.

She stopped and put her hand on her hips to catch a breath, "I can't fucking do this" she laughed quietly and glanced behind her to see the others running around the course.

I tried to look where she was, noticing Libra trying to pick the mud and dirt out of her hair.

No use, just wait to take a shower.

My eyes wondered off to Pieces and Taurus trying to get up the rope. I don't think they know there's a bucket of chalk next to them to help them out, but they'll figure out later.

"You know this is kinda crazy." Sag said snapping me out of my gaze.

I tilted my head a bit, "What, doing a insane obstacle course for no good reason?"

"Well that too," she giggled, "but I mean think about it. All the kids in the whole entire kingdom and we got picked. For what? What did they see in us that they didn't see in anyone else?"

I guess she's right. I mean I thought it was weird that I got tried out in the first place, but I guess everything happens for a reason.

Sag continued, "I mean look at Virgo for example, crying about some bruse on his leg. He's not great at all this physical stuff but when it comes to making plans and shit, he's your guy."

I nodded, getting where she's coming from but still a little confused, "So...what's your point?"

"My point is, I know like ten guys who are just like Virgo, so why not choose them. Why did they choose Virgo." She waved her hands around and motioned over to him.

"I don't know, because he had something they didn't. Or maybe he was just better at it." I focused more on him slowly realizing what shes trying to say.

He was sitting down massaging a scrape on his calf. He picked up his water and poured some of it on the open wound.

Bad move, he's going to get thirsty later and have none left.

Continuing, he drizzled some on his hands too before picking something out of his bag.

A bandage.

I looked down at my knee.

Dammit.

He picked up some other thing, kinda looked like a tube of toothpaste. I seriously doubt it though because he spread it over his scab and put the bandage on. Looking very pleased with him self, he got up and went to complete the course.

Sag is right, I know a bunch of people almost exactly like Virgo. But none of them would clean their calf's before doing the army crawl station.

Aries Pov:

"Come on Libby, you're not going to be able to lift that up by yourself you know?" I tried to convince her to let me help.

"I'm fine, I don't need you. Also don't call me that." She spat at me before the weight fell on the ground.

Starring back up at her, I gave her the 'are-you-sure-because-you-just-proved-yourself-wrong' look.

"Whatever." She hissed back.

I rolled my eyes, "Why are you so annoyed with me? Did I do something wrong?" I asked her as I picked up the weights easily and carried them to their designated spot.

She didn't look up at me, "I don't know. I guess I just don't want you trying to do everything for me. I'm not a damsel in distress, and I feel like you're the type of guy to not understand that."

I furrowed my eyebrows a little, "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing, you just have a hero complex. That's all." She bluntly said.

"Ok, I get that." I said calmly, "But if you get to critique me, we have to get even."

"Oh yeah?" She smirked.

"Yep." I popped the P and grinned back.

She laughed and put her hands on her hips, "Okay tough guy, what'd you got?"

"Well, first of all, you need to loosen up! You're always so stressed and tense, just let go." I glanced down at her quickly making sure she wasn't offend or anything.

She looked up at me locking our eyes, "You think so?" She asked me.

"Well, a little." I sighed trying to decide how to put my words, "Look, you're perfect the way you are, so don't go changing anything for me. But with that being said, I know something's wrong, like maybe you're holding on to something that needs to be let go. But then again, it's none of my business, so do whatever you want. You know I'm just giving suggestions."

She stared at the ground still thinking about what I said.

"You ok?"

"Yeah, I'm fine just thinking about the fact you thought I was going to change for you." She lifted her head up smirked. "And of course I'm perfect, it's like the best thing about me."

I smiled at her, glad she didn't take anything too personally.

"But don't take this for granted, playboy. I'm still no damsel in distress." She declared pointing her finger at me.

I put my hand up in defense and laughed, "Okay, okay, I got the memo!"

...................................................

Hi everyone! I've been updating a lot lately so that's exciting! This chapter was kinda hard to write since I'm going through a bit of writers-block but it's fine I'll get through it. I have an idea where I want the story to go but I never planned it all out so I'm just going to let it flow on it's own. But thank you guys for the support and all the voting on chapters it means a lot to me and gives me motivation to keep working lol. Love u all 💛💛
