James POV

It was the next day and as I walk in the door I see posters everywhere saying

Ridgeway High School's 20th annual Prom, Friday June 19th, at 7:00 p.m.

This was my chance to ask Riley, I mean it's halfway through May so I still have sometime but we're dating so that doesn't mean that I should be afraid.

I walk to my locker and grab my books for my first class when I see a person out of the corner of my eye walk over to me and put their arms around my back.

"Taking anyone to Prom?" The person asks.

"Yes I am Amanda so get away."

I knew it was her instantly and I didn't want to deal with her but I was happy when I saw Riley walking towards me.

"Hey babe." I say

"Wait, so now your calling me babe?" She asks.

"You don't like it?"

"I didn't say that..." She says walking closer.

The bell rings interrupting our conversation and we both head off to our different classes.

Riley's POV

My first class was one of the only classes where I didn't have James in it, and it was probably the worst class. I mean now I don't really pay attention to all the people around me, sure I'll get nasty comments in class but when I'm with James it just feels so much better.

When the bell rings I run to my locker and grab my books for my next class and I see James.

"So, has anyone asked you to prom?" He asks leaning against the locker beside mine.

"No, everyone hates me, and besides I would've said no."

"Alright then, do you want to go with me?"

"Of course!" I say and then give him a hug and it feels amazing.
