Chapter 11

Riley's POV

The next day at school, class went by fast and it was lunch I decided to wait for James by his locker since my class finished early, he came out a minute later.

"Hey Riles." He says.

"Hi..." I say

"Do you want to eat lunch, just the two of us this time?"

"Why not!" I smile.

James POV

Me and Riley are walking to the cafeteria, I made my lunch today because I didn't want the good that the school makes, but Riley gets something here everyday so I go to save us a table. I notice Michelle coming up next in line behind Riley and I know this can't be good.

Riley's POV

I'm next in line when I see someone cut in front of me and of course it's Michelle, I don't want to bother her so I just let her go in front of me. When she finishes I get Mashed Potatoes, Corn, and Chicken, for some reason they had decent food today. I see Michelle putting ketchup on her Fries and then she starts walking behind me, but really fast. Before I can even walk faster I feel something on my head and Michelle dumped her Potatoes on my head.

"Oops!" She says and then starts laughing.

I feel the tears starting up, but I try to hold them back, I take a glance at James and he looks mad. I try to say something back to Michelle but she cuts me off.

"Maybe you should walk faster this time, and it looks like no ones going to save you from this mess." She points to my hair, and I've had enough so I drop my tray and run out.

James POV

I saw all that Michelle did and I see Riley run out so I decide to wait for her outside of the washroom.

When she finally comes out her checks are red and her eyes are watery and her hair is all wet.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

"Not really... James I get it if you don't want to be my girlfriend, everyone at the school hates me and they're going to hate you too."

"No Riley that doesn't---" she cuts me off.

"It matters to me, just give me some time to think."

"Okay...."
Then the bell rings and we head out separate ways.
