Riley's POV
I notice James eating with his friends and I could tell it was not going to be what I expected they were all laughing and seemed like the "popular" people, I'm hoping James is not one of those people. I don't want to back out so I head over there.
James POV
"Hey guys, I'm inviting a new girl to eat with us so please be nice!" I say
"And who are you inviting?"
"Her" I say and point to Riley.
"That girl!? She's a nobody don't invite her!" They respond
"Come on guys just give her a chance she may be not what you expected."
Riley's POV
When I get there I sit beside James and everyone at the table just started to become quiet, but James breaks the silence.
"Riley, this is Michelle, Stephanie, Giselle, Thalia, Eldon, and West!" James says.
"Nice to meet you." I say
"Nice to meet you to." They say back
I notice the one girl smile and me and I think her name is Giselle because she's in one of my classes. I smile back.
We continue chatting but I can tell they fell awkward and so do I. I'm actually glad when we're done eating and then I get up to leave for my class but James stops me as I'm walking away.
"Want to eat with us tomorrow?" He asks.
"I guess..." I say.
"What's wrong?" He says
"I just feel like they don't like me like everyone else..."
"They just have to get to know you more and then I'm sure they will like you!"
"We will see." I say and walk to my class.

When I get to my class I notice Giselle is there and there's a seat beside her once again the only one, so I go over to sit beside her, but she's talking to other people. I try anyways to talk to her.
"Hi Giselle." I say, I wait and there's no answer so I just decide to wait for her to notice me and it does take a couple of minutes.
"Oh hey Riley!" She says
"Hi...."
"Are you eating lunch with us again tomorrow?"
"Ya...."
"Just to let you know the others may seem rude but they are actually not that bad once you get to know them and they get to know you." She says.
"I know James told me that already."
Hopefully Giselle is right, or maybe she's just killing me with kindness...
