Chapter 3

Sofia's Perspective:

As the clock struck 5 pm, Amber and I were busy preparing for tonight's dinner with Vivian, Hugo, and Desmond's families. Once we were dressed, we descended the stairs, the murmurs of conversation growing louder as we approached. Turning the corner, we found Hugo, his brother Axel, along with Desmond and James.

"Hey, guys," Amber and I chimed in unison. They greeted us warmly, exchanging compliments until Dad interrupted, suggesting we show our guests around.

Hooking my arm with Hugo's, we embarked on a tour of the castle, catching up on years gone by as we strolled.

Eventually, we found ourselves in my not-so-secret garden. Hugo marveled at its beauty, remarking on the wonders of nature. Smiling, I joined him on a bench, our conversation flowing until a moment of quiet settled between us.

"You know, Sofia," Hugo began, breaking the silence, "it's been years since we last saw each other, but I've never felt the same connection with anyone else. Sure, there were plenty of girls vying for my attention, but none compared to you. Your authenticity drew me in from the start. I've cherished our time together since the derby championships at RPA, and I always will."

Our closeness was interrupted by Amber and Desmond, calling us to dinner. Quickly, we pulled back, cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Dinner was delightful, but eventually, the night drew to a close. As the other families departed, Hugo's remained behind for business discussions. Before leaving, Hugo presented me with a beautiful ring, once his mother's, expressing his belief that she would have wanted me to have it. With a gentle slide onto my finger, he bid me farewell.

As he turned to leave, I couldn't resist calling out to him. Walking up, I planted a light kiss on his cheek. "Goodbye, Hugo. Have a great night."

Later, Amber teased me about the kiss, causing my cheeks to flush once more.

After preparing for bed, I received a text from Hugo, wishing me a good night. I replied before switching off my phone, only for Amber to burst in, eager for details

After everyone left amber came up to me and said I saw what u did there and started chuckiling I turned red and walked away 

After getting ready for bed I received a text from Hugo wishing me a god night I texted him back and turned of my phone 📱 until amber came jumping up to me saying Sofia u have to tell me everything !
