As the days rolled by, I couldn't help but notice all the attention I was getting at school. It felt like suddenly everyone knew who I was, and I was still getting used to it all.

During lunch, while Hugo and I were trying to enjoy our meal, a group of classmates surrounded us, eager to chat. It was flattering, but it also made me feel a bit overwhelmed, especially when Hugo seemed to fade into the background.

Then Ethan, this guy who'd asked me out before, approached us looking a bit nervous. "Hey, Sofia, Hugo, can I talk to you for a sec?" he asked, shifting nervously from foot to foot.

I glanced at Hugo, who nodded, so I said, "Sure, what's up?"

Ethan took a deep breath. "I just wanted to say sorry for putting you on the spot the other day. It was kinda dumb, and I feel bad about it," he said, sounding sincere.

I appreciated the apology and gave him a smile. "Thanks, Ethan. No worries, I appreciate it," I replied.

As Ethan and I chatted, I couldn't shake this weird feeling I got from Hugo. It was like he was uncomfortable or something.

Later, as we walked home from school, I finally decided to ask him about it. "Hey, Hugo, is everything cool?" I asked, giving him a concerned look.

He looked  hesitant before until i realised what the problem was

My heart sank a bit , and I stopped walking, turning to face him. "Hugo, you have nothing to worry about. You're the most important person to me," I reassured him, squeezing his hand.

Feeling a rush of emotion, I leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "I mean it," I whispered, before turning and heading home.

But just then, my amulet started glowing, which meant there was an urgent message from the Secret Library.

Hugo's eyes widened in concern as he saw it. "Sofia, what's going on?" he asked, sounding worried.

I hesitated for a moment, not sure how much to tell him. "I... I can't tell you everything yet, Hugo. But I promise, I'll explain everything as soon as I can," I said, giving his hand one last squeeze and giving him a quick peck  before rushing off home, leaving him behind looking a bit puzzled.

As the days passed, I couldn't help but notice a change in Sofia. She was suddenly the center of attention, and it made me feel a bit uneasy. During lunch, it seemed like everyone wanted to talk to her, leaving me feeling a bit sidelined.

Later, as we walked home, I sensed that something was bothering her. "Hey, babe, you seem a little off today. Is everything okay?" I asked, slipping my hand into hers.

Sofia sighed, looking conflicted. "I'm fine, Hugo. Just got a lot on my mind, you know?" she replied, giving me a reassuring smile.

But when she suddenly left in the middle of the day, I knew something was up. Ignoring my own homework, I decided to go check on her at her castle. After all, she was not just my girlfriend, but also my best friend.

When I found her in her room, still in her school uniform and surrounded by books, I couldn't help but feel worried. "Hey, Sof, what's going on? You've been looking really stressed lately," I said, concern lacing my voice.

She looked up, surprised to see me there. "Hugo, what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice tinged with relief.

"I came to check on you, babe. You've seemed a bit off lately, and I wanted to make sure everything's okay," I explained, sitting down beside her.

Sofia hesitated for a moment before finally opening up. "It's just... school stuff, you know? I've got a lot going on right now," she admitted, avoiding my gaze.

I reached out and gently took her hand in mine. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right? You're not just my girlfriend, you're also my best friend," I said, giving her a reassuring squeeze.

A small smile tugged at her lips, and she leaned into me. "I know, Hugo. And I appreciate that more than you know," she said softly.

"Then tell me what's going on. I want to help," I urged, feeling a surge of protectiveness toward her.

Sofia took a deep breath, her expression becoming more serious. "Okay, I'll tell you. It's just... it's complicated," she started, her words hesitant at first.
