Alexis's POV.
After visiting my grandma, it was sunset so I decided to head back home. Walking in the house, I slid my shoes off and set my things down. I was stunned when I found the sofa empty of Justin and obviously the house. A tan envelope caught my sight from the counter edge, though. In justin's handwriting, my name was written capitally on the back of it. A dot was soaked into the thin paper, signing it must have been a teardrop. We communicate in notes more than we should. Taking a seat in a high chair, I lifted the flap and pulled the folded paper out.
'This is the only way to get you to hear me out, if even this will, so don't complain about it. I have tried to talk to you about this face to face but you shove me away everytime. I know I shouldn't have said what I did but you know how I felt when you left. I don't blame you. I honestly don't. I'm proud of you and glad you did what you always have wanted to do. I blame dreams though. Dreams are what took you from me. Not you. I wouldn't repeatedly comfort you with words and then use opposite ones later. I told you many times that it wasn't your fault and I meant that. So why would I tell you it is your fault when you return? I'd never lie to my Love. And my Love knows that. I don't want us fighting anymore. We've done too much of that. From now on, our marriage will be a non-fighting, happy one. If that doesn't start working out soon, we'll do counseling if we have to. Because I'm not loosing you. Hawaii is the beginning of our new beginning. I know things have changed between us since we got married and I know you want them back the old way. I'll give you the romance and jiblious that we had as a teenage couple. I promise.'
End of POV.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Justin's POV.
My baggy eyelids almost forcefully combined as I stumbled into the bedroom door-frame. Clinching the wood, I switched the light on. I had cried my eyes out with no sleep for the past two days almost. I thought after the argument with Alexis yesterday, things would be bumpy between us because of how hurt she seemed. And how surprised of my actions she was. A confused sound came from my throat as my sight landed on the beauty I can call mine. I could have swore my eyes were playing a game with me as they made me think she was hugging a suitcase in her sleep. After a while of studying the image, it dawned on me that she really was doing that. Gathering myself so I didn't appear so sloppy, I shuffled to to the edge of the bed and bent down. Placing my hands on her hips, I whispered to her. "Alexis, Sweetheart?" "Mm, go away. I wanna sleep." I chuckled lightly. She surely loves her sleeping time. "C'mon, Baby, time to get up. I need to talk to you about things." "Later." "Wake up, Silly." "I am." "No, you're only half awake. Please, for me?" Rubbing her sealed eyes, she sat up slowly and opened them. Don't push me away, don't push me away. Let me stay and settle things out. Her arms slithered around my neck swiftly when she remembered it was me with her in the room. "Mind me askign why you were hugging a suitcase?" "I fell asleep after packing." "Packing for what? You aren't leaving me, are you?" "No, stop rushing your words out. You said we would start changing our relationship soon and I wnat soon to be as soon as possible." "So we're on the same page." "Pretty much, yeah." "As soon as possible would be tomorrow. What do you say?" "I say we go to Hawaii tomorrow." I cringed my neck back and smiled at her. Pecking her lips, I loosened my arms that were circling her back tightly. "Can we forget about yesterday? Or at least forgive it?" "Already have." "I'm really sor-" "No. Part of a new start and part of forgiving what happened is not talking about it." "Alright, but how about we talk about what you did today since you were barely home." "I went to my parents, the store, London's, and my grandma's." "Mmm, things you rarely ever do." "Yup. Now where were you this afternoon?" "Went for a walk." "It was a long walk." "I wanted to give you time to find the note." "..Can I go back to sleep?" "I knew you were holding that question in."
