Buket looked out the window as Ryan drove steadily, they've been driving for three days straight. Libby ended up dying in the back seat, so they had to drive off in the woods and put her body in a shrub. Buket laid a Turkish fan over her face, feeling guilty for not giving her a proper burial. Ryan, was not surprised. Elena, was neutral. She saw both outcomes. Ali stayed in the car, completely confused and silent. They were going north, not west. Straight up north. It was because they had to break out two more participants in this cult.
The other three groups already made it to Lost Lake. It was empty, dry, and deserted. Cabins sat far, far away from the lake. It might have shrunk over time from evaporation. Kevin was squealing in the back, Dylan was silent, Megan kept asking questions until she gave up, knowing Jade in this situation, she wasn't gonna pry. And Caleb, he gave her death glances. The damsel with the short, brown hair walked to the familiar car she saw up in the mountains. Martha was leaned up against it, smoking a cigar. "I want what's left of my earnings," JJ said slowly, "Now." Reaching in her pockets, she pulled out two wads each. About twelve grand was handed back over to Jade.
Later, everyone went into their cabins, the heat was unbearable. Megan sat down on the bed, as a small shadow formed on the door. It opened, and Gaby walked in. "JAM." Megan yelled, bringing forth a smile on her face. "JUIIIITTTCCCEEEEEE!" Gaby replied, both hugging each other awkwardly. They sat next to each other, and stayed silent for a second. "Do you know what's going on?" Megan looked over at the girl who was starring at the wooden planks. "No. I really don't know. I just want out of it."
Meg nodded, she understood fully of what she meant. Jade was her friend and all, but, things can get taken too far. Ellie went into a cabin with Martha. They sat across from each other. "Would you like to tell me what's happening?"
"You'll find out tomorrow. I promise." Marty replied abruptly, falling back onto the bed. She looked up at the bunk bed that loomed over her head. Her glasses were cracked, Ellie isn't a good driver in the rain. She knocked her head on the side of the window.
"Sorry about that," The girl said sheepishly, a sly chuckle added to the sentence. "Nah, it's fine. I have contacts." Uncomfortable, itchy, contacts.
Jade was accompanied by Timothy in her cabin, they both smiled at the old "father-satan" jokes. "Tim," Jade said slowly, her eyes darting towards him. Alarmed, he straightened himself. "Forgive me for what happens tomorrow, okay?"
"Huh?"
"I said, forgive me for what happens tomorrow."
"Wait wait, why? What's happening tomorrow?"
Jade began to walk out, and he grabbed her arm. "Hold on I ju--"
She moved her arm swiftly, and slapped him on his left cheek. "I said,
Forgive me for what happens tomorrow.
That is all."
