. . .

"You can deactivate your quirk; I won't do anything."

Perhaps this was an opportunity given to Izuku to be happy, and he was going to try his best to be happy. To make his mother proud.

...

Eraser, reluctantly, but slowly, drew his capturing scarf back to himself.

Izuku, though still smiling, had a question drawing in the back of his mind. Though he already had a calculated answer to it— he wanted to make sure his assumption was correct.

"May I ask why you will not, or cannot, let me leave?" An obvious question, really. And it could be seen that the pro hero thought the latter, by the dumbfounded look on his face.

Izuku thought that the pro hero's expression looked rather amusing, actually.

"...I have a few reasons." He also sounded dumbfounded, Izuku noticed.

"First of all, you knew who I was."
"Sorry for the trouble, Eraserhead! I was..."
"Normally, people think I'm a random hobo." Izuku noticed the grimace in eraser's face while he said that.
"But I let that slide, because I thought it might've been a coincidence that you knew me." Aizawa reasoned with his explanations.

"But then, you said my real name, when I hadn't mentioned it the whole time we talked." Aizawa looked at Izuku, eyebrow raised suspiciously.
"Aizawa‒san?" Izuku said with his signature smile, drawing the eye closed Aizawa's attention.
"I get the whole knowing me as a hero, but knowing my real name? That isn't information that I really say a lot. Besides, you're an interesting kid— and you seem smart for your age."

"And even if you didn't know or have any of these qualities, I would still not let you go." Izuku raised his eyebrow at this, slightly interested.
"You don't have a proper guardian." Ah. Right...

"Your body looks unhealthy and you look like you haven't slept since last year." Aizawa brutally tells the boy, though Izuku seemed unaffected by the words, since he knew they were true.

"You look worse than me." Izuku did not find any of the words said before offensive. But this. This was offensive, of course he didn't say this out loud.
