(Y/n)'s Pov

I walked in between Chris and Piers, my gun in my hands. I scanned the area and slowly lowered my gun.

"I don't believe that we're in the right spot Chris. Matter of fact, we've passed this area 3 times now..I think we're lost." I laughed out, glancing at the man who stole my heart months ago.

I don't know what it is about him but after 2 weeks of knowing him, I couldn't help but gain feelings for this man. Piers smirked at me. Of course he knew after he saw me blushing around Chris. But, of course he was oblivious to the fact that I like him.  He's kind, caring, handsome and a good person to have around. The feeling of happiness, feeling like you mattered and were cared about is all how I feel when I'm around him. Of course, I was too afraid to tell Chris in case it ruined our friendship but maybe at some point during this mission I'll tell him. That is if Piers doesn't accidentally say anything in front of him. 

"I think you may be right (Y/n)."

I smiled. "I usually am. You've worked with me for how long? When I have a hunch , it's usually right."

Piers looked at Chris and then to me, and then gave me a look. A look that means an idea has popped into his head.

"Captain, I'm going to go higher up and see where we exactly are."

Chris nodded and gave Piers permission. As he was leaving, he leaned in close to me.

"Now's your chance to be alone with him." Piers winked out. "Maybe tell him how you feel. Because if you don't by the time I come back, then I'll be sure to tell him."

I rolled my eyes. "Seriously? We're in the middle of a mission."

Piers shrugged and headed up the stairs. Chris gave me a puzzled look but I shrugged and looked down the corridor. "Just Piers being Piers."

Chris and I continued to walk down the corridor as Piers was above us. We walked in silence as we scanned our areas, only making the casual joke here and there.

"Piers is still getting us to go around in circles. I swear I've seen those dead bodies there 4 times in the past hour."

Chris let put a laugh and pulled out his radio. "Hey Piers, try to find a way out of here. (Y/n) and I are gonna stay put in this spot so we don't continue to go in circles."

"Yes captain." Came from the radio.

I walked around looking at everything in the room until something caught my eye. "Hey Chris come here."

Within seconds he was by my side. "Well isn't that creepy."

I nodded and raised my gun, poking it. And ready to attack of it  moved at all. It didn't move at all, causing us to slowly lower our weapons.

I laughed and turned to Chris. "That's not something you see everyday."

He nodded and walked over to the fallen column, taking a seat on it's side. "Piers told me something when he found me at the bar."

I gulped. Did that little shit tell Chris how I felt? "And what was that?" I manged to get out.

"He told me you were a wreck after I left. It probably didn't help that we were close and I couldn't save your brother."

I sighed. "Well yeah, we became very close and then you left. It hurt even more because I was mourning. I get that you lost your team and that affected you. But what about me? I lost Finn and then in the process lost the person I was the closest too? I needed you but you weren't there. You were off drinking while Piers and I were coping together and plotting our revenge. And now that I know Ada is here, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to go back with you guys."

Chris gave me a look. "What do you mean (Nickname)."

I chuckled and walked over to him, taking a seat. Our legs touching. "Been awhile since you called me that." I laid my head on his shoulder and let out a small yawn. "What I mean by that is,  I will do anything it takes to take down Ada Wong. For what she did to your team, and more importantly, what she did to my brother. I'm not expecting to make it out of this mission alive anymore."

In an instant Chris made a sudden move and cupped my face in his hands, causing a blush to form on my face. "You will make it out alive. I can't loose you. Don't make any stupid decisions."

"It's not a stupid-"

Chris cut me off. "If you plan on dieing while avenging your brother, then yes it is a stupid decision. I'm not loosing you on this mission (Y/n), I promise you that."

I sighed and placed my hands on his hips, resting my forehead on his. "Chris, you don't know what it's like, you still have Claire. I'm sorry but no matter how strongly I feel about you, it cannot stop the choice I already made." With that, I pressed my lips against his.

It took him a moment to kiss back but as we pulled away, I injected something into his neck.

"Just know this, I love you but goodbye Chris." It didn't take him long before he passed out in my arms. I carefully laid him down on the ground and smiled down at him.

The moment I found out Ada was here, I intentionally got us lost and going around in circles. It would take Chris and Piers awhile to find me. But, by that point, Ada should be dead. And as for me, that will be determined.

I guess I finally told him how I felt, hey Piers, you'd be proud.
