I should have known this would happen, and I don't know why I thought this would have gone down in a different way. I honestly can't blame him either, I would have reacted in the same way. But, a girl can be hopeful.

"Chris, lower your gun. I am not a threat. I'm in this village for the same reason you are. Take down Miranda and save the Winters. I am not here to cause harm to you, your men, or Ethan."

He continued to point his gun at me, causing the rest of the Hound Wolf squad to do the same. I continued to have my hands up in the air, a sigh escaping my lips.

"After everything you and your brother did, you want me to trust you? After you guys lured us to the mansion? After I trusted you, cared for you, and then to find out that you were the enemy all a long?"

I nodded. "Yes, but I think you have a few things wrong. Yes, I knew Albert was with Umbrella, but I wasn't. Okay, I was, but I didn't want to be, and I did not want to betray STARS. I enjoyed my time with Alpha and Bravo, but I had to go with Albert. Trust me, he wouldn't have let me stay. I'm going to lower my arms now, okay?" Right after I said that, I slowly lowered my arms, crossing them as I stared at Chris. "Just because Albert and Alex did what they did doesn't mean that I wanted that path for myself. I never wanted to do what they wanted. If I had a choice, I would never have let any of that stuff happen. If it was up to me, I would have stayed with STARS, went to the BSAA, and then joined you with your squad here."

"Why now? Why try to help now?"

A sigh escaped my lips. "Remember when you went to Africa? Who do you think tipped off the BSAA? And when Albert had Jill, he wanted her dead, but I made sure he kept her alive. I've helped you guys a lot without anyone knowing it's me. I was also in Louisiana when the Baker Incident happened. Now, I know what you're thinking. You're probably thinking that I was part of the problem there."

"It did pass my mind."

"I was there to observe and to make sure the mold didn't leave the Bakers property. You need to trust me, Chris."

"Lower your weapons. If you do anything suspicious, I will not hesitate to shoot you."

I grinned. "Likewise... I was only joking!"

"From what I could see, Ethan was on his way to Moreau's." I turned to look at Chris. "I need your help in the factory. I found something that Ethan can take Heisenberg down with, but I'm not so good at mechanical things."

"Let's get going then." He turned towards his squad. "Keep observing, I should be back soon. If not, then we will meet at location one."

As we walked away from his squad, I gave him a smile. "Just like the good old days -"

"The only reason on why you're here right now is because I need your help on something. Does Ethan know who you are?"

I nodded. "Yes, he does, we met at the Bakers. I had to carry his leg when Jack cut it off. It's not the best first introduction. If you ask him or Mia, if we ever find her, they will tell you that I was there to help."

"We will see, hard to trust you after everything prior."

I slowly nodded. "If you didn't know, Heisenberg knows that you and your team are here, and he also knows that I am here. He knows a lot about us, the Winters and especially the child. For now, I don't see him starting anything with us. If he wanted to, he would have by now. And plus, why would he just leave what I found lying around when he knew he couldn't control it...Come on, we're just about there. Stay close. The factory is a maze."
