The year is 2235. Everyone is either dead, enslaved, living in burrows, or living on the surface where no man shall dare venture. It was inevitable for human society to become endangered, trying to play God, fuck with mother nature, and find out the hard way.
This is obvious from the large hordes of mutants and Mega Mutes. They control the surface of the earth and have been that way for 245yrs now. No one sees it changing for another 200 years, unless; you're an ambitious, cold-hearted, military-trained, scientist. That scientist is Dr. Emilia and she is a bitch of a human being.
Her active assault against mutes caused a wide spared war. A lot of good people were killed or enslaved because of this war. Some humans stayed on Emilia's side and some didn't, which in turn; Emilia along with her "Armada" were forced out.
Of course, Emilia didn't take this quiet, what's the word? Oh! Nicely, nor without a fight which she loses pretty severely. This was because she was against 100,000 armed soldiers, while she only had 500 on her name. In the end, there were only 20 of them and for the first time in her life, she felt inferiorly weak. So much so that Emilia started to go through some physiological changes. It's unclear how it happened but it left her in a refreshing state. This was caused to the amount of stress she had suffered throughout her life, starting from her birth and to where she is now.
This physiology causes a huge shift in her mental state, which was already unstable due to her relationship with her father, her deceased mother, and being outcast by her original burrow. The loss she took along with the rise of mute civilization, the fall of human civilization, and losing her loving mother. In the end, made her descend into eternal madness and loss of mortality. Everyone within her group was gaining suspicious and worried; they had every right to be.
Emilia, during her time within the old burrow, was conducting "inhumane" experiments on live animals, which caused some suspicion within the burrow. She did, however, try to keep it under the floorboard hoping to keep it secretive, sadly it was all in vain. Someone told the head leader of the burrow of her recent experiments, the one who did it was her dear brother. Before she could stop him though, news has already spared to the rest of the burrow.
Those are the events that lead to Emilia's downfall and starting her descent into insanity.
