"Don't be ridiculous, pack for Monaco Nadia, I mean what was so bad last year to where you felt the need to leave to New York" my mother said to me while rolling her eyes.
"Mom, I know it was dramatic but you've got to understand I have an internship in New York over the summer I can't go back" I said from my bed where I sat.
Things changed after I left that day with Katerina. I decided that the Leclerc's were better off without me, and I needed to be better off without them. They tried to contact but eventually stopped when I wouldn't answer. I've been working on my career though, and this summer I have an internship at Vogue magazine. It was a dream offer to get, and with my mom and dads connections people know my work when it comes to fashion, and I got this small paid internship.
"What about the Leclerc's, they miss you" she said making her last attempt at trying to convince me to go.
"Okay mom" I said while giving a shrug.
She sighed before leaving my room. The next time I talked to her was when her and dad were leaving to Monaco for the summer.
