The next morning...
Flo slowly opened her eyes to the beautiful but chilling-cold morning. She woke up next to her husband Ramone, ready as always to take the day hood on. She did her morning ablutions in her set order, kissed Ramone good morning and made her way over to the cafe to open shop. As she arrived, she took a moment and rolled back, admiring the beautiful purple and yellow sunrise. She smirked, opening shop by pulling the doors open and setting the 'welcome' and 'we're open!' signs in place. One of her employees, Tia, soon joined her not long after she did so.
"Morning, Flo!" Tia introduced brightly.
"Good morning, Tia." Flo responded.
"How are you this morning?" Tia asked.
"Bright and wide-eyed, darling. How about yourself?" Flo asked.
"Feeling good!" Tia said.
"That's great!" Flo said.
Flo looked around at the town for a moment. She quickly thought to herself for a brief moment, turning to Tia before she could leave her sight.
"Tia! Have you seen the McQueens lately?" Flo asked.
"The McQueens? No, I haven't." Tia answered.
"Hmm... that's odd. It's unlike them to be gone without telling anyone." Flo noted.
"Ask around, Mrs. Flo! Surely someone might know where they are." Tia mentioned.
Flo paused to herself, beginning to make a mental list of who to ask.
"Go take a look. I can handle the morning myself." Tia offered.
"Well... alright. Are you sure?" Flo asked.
"Positively sure, Flo. Leave it up to the rest of the staff." Tia said.
Flo paused, smiling in admiration.
"You're a lifesaver, you know that? Thank you." Flo said.
She quickly turned around and left, getting into detective mode and beginning her search for clues.
She took a morning drive up to the Wheel Well, the McQueen's house of residence. It looked unusually dead that morning. She went up and knocked on the door, awaiting an answer.
"Hello? Anyone home?" Flo asked.
After minutes on end, there was no answer. She looked around the place, checking to see if there were any open windows or the like. Nothing.
"Huh. Strange." Flo thought. "Looks like I have to ask around."
Thus began her investigation back in town...
First up, she went to Luigi's tire shop to ask him.
"Luigi, honey? I need to ask a question." Flo exclaimed at his shopfront.
"Welcome to Casa de la- oh, morning Flo." Luigi zoomed out to the shop front and introduced.
"Mornin', darl'. Have you seen Lightnin' or Sally recently?" Flo asked.
"Ask around. I'm sure that there is somebody who knows." Luigi said.
"So you don't know?" Flo asked.
"...ehh... no." Luigi said.
"I'll ask around. Thank 'ya, darling." Flo thanked.
Next on the list; Fillmore.
"I got a proposition, man. I've concocted a new, alternate fuel that could really catch on. We should totally sell it at the cafe, man." Fillmore said.
