"An incredible finish to this season of the Piston Cup!
It's sure been a fun-filled season! Rookies and legends duked it out unlike anything we've ever seen. Racing vets like Storm and Ramirez gave it their all as per usual, but even they struggled to hold a candle to a new batch of rookies surprising just about every fan this season. Don't believe us? Just listen for yourself...
'Delilah Daniels is such an inspiration! Her clean racing and can-do attitude is something I believe everybody look up to.'
'El McPherson is and always will be my idol! She's the prettiest, meanest gal on the track... in a good way!'
'LaStringer is the best, no doubt. Go for gold!! It says it right in the phrase!'
'Dash Boltarius for the win every time. The fact that he can just shrug off the majority of a race, chill at the back of the pack and still come first at the finish is crazy! What a pose! Storm wishes he was this guy!'
It's beautiful to see fans are already so passionate about young racers – both gents and ladies – taking home the gold and showing the racing world who's boss!
And where do we begin with Dash Boltarius? There's absolutely no dispute that all eyes were on the rookie sensation, who put in an all-time debut. Just look at his racing lines! No racing assist either!" a narrator mentioned.
"Is Boltarius of car or manufacturer?! We don't know!" Dash exclaimed happily in unison.
This was certainly not the first time Dash had watched this video in the past few weeks. In fact, it quickly became a coping mechanism for the boredom his recovery at the Wheel Well brought. Still barely able to move without something moving the wrong way, his eyes remained attached to the TV screen like he was hypnotized. Meanwhile, Demetria stared at him in delight as he watched. She beamed as brightly as the scorching sun as she watched him, borderline obsessively. Her little hot rod wouldn't have a clue though as he sat, wholly invested in the video playing.
"Boltarius' specs are, to put it bluntly, impossible. Unlike the majority of the Cup's current competitors running on electric motors and racing assistance, he sports an old-school system with – you guessed it – no racing assistance technology whatsoever. The fact that he's able to best Piston Cup legends such as Storm without any of these perks shows the caliber of talent we're dealing with here. To put it simply, he's generating a lot of talk between fans, good and bad;
'The cup seemed to be on the fall when that Storm feller came onto the scene. All these perfect racers, they have no soul! No experience! Then this young kid – really freakin' fast young kid – comes onto the scene and just destroys all these robots! It makes you think; is this guy really old-school? Or is the Cup just saying this to get their cred back?'
'Boltarius is a menace to the world of racing! The fact that he's one of the only ones who doesn't use racing tech and still wins just further proves that he's a cheat.'
The attention only seems to be aiding him in his definite rise to stardom.
It's clear that he's in a league of his own, and truly a legend in the making. Only time will tell what he can achieve in his career, perhaps for the future of the cup as well-"
The video then ended abruptly. Like a poor child, he yelled out for his personal maid to come and help.
"Yes, hot rod?" Demetria appeared, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Gah! Don't scare me like that." Dash exclaimed.
"Sorry. What would you like?" she asked eagerly.
