Roxy closed her locker door when Jake Williams walked by. His head was bent downwards hiding part of his face, but his eyes- his eyes where cast right at her. A look of regret flickered through them before it faded away.

Clinching her hands into a fist, "hey, why did you do it?" Roxy hollowed ignoring the stares of students as they walked past her.

Jake closed his eyes as he heard Roxy call out to him, not stopping, continuing to walk to his first class; as if he didn't hear her. Please just let this go. He silently pleaded.

Roxy grabbed a hold of his arm, not giving him a chance to walk away. "Jake," she tugged at his arm. "Tell me," Roxy demanded needing to know why.

Jake didn't look at her, keeping his back towards Roxy. "I'm sorry," he felt his heart clinch in regret. "I had no choice." He jerked his arm out of her grasp when a pair of hands grabbed the front of his shirt.

"I thought I told you to stay away from her." Trent yelled as he pushed Jake to the side, away from Roxy.

"Trent, I was talking to him!"

Trent looked at Roxy who looked pissed. "Why are you defending him?" He tone was a mixture of annoyance and disbelieve.

"You owe him no explanation, Roxy." Jake muttered, pushing Trent off him.

Trent jerked his head towards Jake who looked bored. "The hell she does!" He bellowed, his fist clinching tightly.

Roxy bit her lip debating on what to do or say. Letting out air, slow and steady, Roxy looked at Jake. "I expect an answer, later." Jake jerked his head in a nod before he walked away.

"Roxy..."

Roxy raised her hand to silence Trent. "Not now Trent." She looked around the hallway to see a group forming. Walking towards him, she lightly tugged on his arm. "Let's go to class," she mumbled under her breath.

This doesn't make any sense, Roxy thought. Why would Jake say he had no choice?

"Uh oh, I know that look." Tristan whistled. "What has you up in a knot, bro?" Tristan watched as his brother Trent sat down in his seat, looking like he wanted to kill something.

"He's pissed because I wanted to talk to Jake." Roxy stated in an irritated voice as she sat down as well.

Tristan's eyes widened. "Why would you do that?"

"Because I needed answers," Roxy placed her Chemistry book on her desk with a thump. "I would have gotten them if someone," She glared at Trent, "didn't interfere."

"Damn girl, no wonder he's pissed." Tristan chuckled, leaning back in his seat.

"I don't want you talking to him." Trent ordered.

"Damn it Trent!" Roxy slammed her hand on the desk making a loud noise, making some of the students jump or glance her way. "I will talk to whoever I want to."

Trent's eyes sparkled in amusement. "You know princess you look sexy when you're mad."

Roxy poked Trent in the shoulder. "Stop calling me that, Trenny Bear."

His eyes darken as some of the students laughed. "Don't call me that."

"Trenny Bear?" Tristan placed his hands on his stomach laughing.

"Shut up, Tristan." Trent glared at his younger brother.

"I can't wait to tell Tyson." Tristan exclaimed happily.
