We may be pulled in different directions, if we full vulnerable to the aching pains inside. - Riddles of Reformation
Every place I go, I swear I see a tangle of dark skin and light brown hair. I can't believe he is following me. I head over to sports enhancement because my mom says I'm "slacking" in soccer. Well, I probably wouldn't be if I didn't see flashes of Neal's face in every player I pass.
Anyway, as i walk through the door i notice a dark and handsome complexion. I guess Neal doesn't just babysit, but also works at my sports enhancement, no wonder he is so muscular. This means that now I can put another place on my list that Neal shows up at. I start to wonder if sweet and mysterious Neal had planned this out from the beginning... It doesn't matter now, all i think about is the two pulling sides of me, one telling me to run away and the other to stay.
Imediently, he notices me and starts to make his way toward me. I try my best to pretend I don't reconize him.
"Oh my goodness!" My mom shares. "Well this is just dandy! Neal you could be Anna's trainor!" Dandy? Really mom, what century is this again?
"Yeah, sure." Neal starts. "I wouldn't mind." He gives me a devilishly handsome smirk. Double meaning much? I think to myself.
First, we make our way over to the arm weights. In grab a 30 lb weight hoping to impress him even though my best is a 25 lb. weight. I instanly drop it making a clutter and millions of eyes staring straight at me. Flames burns up my neck and cheeks. Neal, as always, comes to the rescue. Grabbing the weight and setting it on the bar, making it look like carring school books.
Reading my mind, Neal says, "Hey, don't feel bad. I work out nearly everday from 12 - 2."
A give a shy smile in reply. Next, we make our way over to the leg press. After that, we did made our way over to the conditioning section of the building.
"Start with a lunge walk over to the post and back, then we can do some jumping." Neal says. I nod in return. I just don't have the courage to talk to him. It's probably the feeling, you know, the love feeling. I shudder at the thought. I start to think, becasue of this stupid feeling I can't do anything right. I used to be normal but now, now it's all Neal's fault. Suddenly, a rage of anger surrounds me and I whip around nearly loosing balance by doing so. I try to be as calm as a can when saying,
"Neal, do you mind if I go to the bathroom?"
Neal notices something wrong but still says, "Sure." While giving me a concerened look.
As soon as I get out of eye sight of Neal, I start running to the entrance door.
"Where are you going?" Somebody says behind me. Wait I know that voice...
"Mom?!" I exclaim. " I mean, oh hey mom." I try my best to put on my best fake smile. "I was just trying to find the bathroom."
"Okay, it's down the hall and to the right, sweetie." Mom says cautiously as if I was a wild animal ready to attack. I slowly walk to the end of the hall and turn on a right. I walk in and I'm blinded by the bight sun coming from the window. It hits me, the window! I can just climb out of the ten... feet... high... window. I start to hear footsteps coming toward the door and as swiftly as a bird I climb uo from the toliet, to the stall wall and unlock the window, opening it as gently as possible. Thud. Ouch, that's gonna leave a mark.
I run away hoping my mom and Neal don't get mad.
