━━━━━━━━━━ Your siblings were huddled on one end of the kitchen table, Five occupying on the other. He slammed the cutting board down, walking away to gather bread.
"What's the date? The exact date?"
"The 24th," Vanya answered.
"Of what?"
"March."
Five opened up the plastic bag, getting out two pieces of bread, "Good."
"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther said, standing up after not getting a response from his brother, "It's been 17 years."
Five scoffed, looking up at Luther, "It's been a lot longer than that." He blinked to the other side, grabbing peanut butter and marshmallows.
"I haven't missed that." You heard Luther mumble.
"Where'd you go?" Diego asked.
"The future. It's shit, by the way." Five blinked back to the cutting board.
"Called it!" Klaus announced, "Hand it over, Y/N." You reluctantly pulled out 20 dollars from your pocket, giving it to Klaus.
Five looked amused for a moment, before he continued to raid the kitchen, "I should've listened to the old man. You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." Five paused and looked over Klaus' attire, "Nice dress."
Your brother looked down at what he was wearing, "Oh, well, danke!" You and Allison both gave him weird looks.
"Wait, how did you get back?" Vanya questioned.
"In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time."
"That makes no sense," Diego said at the same time you stated, "Perfectly not confusing."
Five didn't look up from his snack, "Well, it would if you were smarter."
Diego got up, ready to fight his brother, but was stopped by Luther's hand, "How long were you there?"
"Forty-five years. Give or take."
Your eyes widened in surprise, not believing that your brother had been gone for that long.
"So what are you saying? That your 58?"
"No, my consciousness is 58. Apparently, my body is now 13 again."
"Holy shit." You chuckled.
Vanya continued to ask questions, "Wait, how does that even work?"
Five faced away from you and your siblings, "Delores kept saying the equations were off. Eh. Bet she's laughing now."
You turned to Klaus, mouthing 'Delores' with a questioning look. Five took back your attention when he spoke again, "Guess I missed the funeral."
