━━━━━━━━━━ At the Academy, you watched in shock as you saw Mom killing Dad. Beside you, Klaus was snacking on one of the chip bags the two of you stole earlier. You reached your hand over, trying to get a chip, but your brother slapped it away.

You feigned offense, "Hey."

"I mean, do you really think Mom would hurt Dad?" Vanya asked.

Luther shifted in his place, "You haven't been home in a long time, Vanya. Maybe you don't know Grace anymore."

"If he was poisoned, it would have shown in the coroner's report," Diego interjected.

"Well, I don't need a report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes."

"Maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your vision," Diego stepped closer to the monitor, clicking a button on the side, "Look closer. Dad has his monocle. Mom stands up. Monocle's gone."

"Well shit," You chuckled, "Look at that."

"She wasn't poisoning him. She was... taking it. To clean it."

"To clean it?"

Luther turned the monitor off, "Then where is it? No, I've searched the whole house, including all her things. She doesn't have it."

You watched Diego hesitate before answering, "That's because I took it from her. After the funeral."

Everyone stood still in shock. Allison got up from her spot against the pole, "You've had the monocle this whole time? What the hell, Diego?"

"Give it to me." Luther stated.

"I threw it away." You smirked when you heard your brother say that.

"You what?"

"Look, I knew that if you found it on Mom, you'd lose your shit, just like you're doing right now."

You decided to sit on the bench beside Vanya, Klaus coming towards you with two drinks. You smiled at him when he gave you one of them. Beside you, Vanya interjected in the feud, "Hey. No. Calm down. Look, I know Dad wasn't exactly an open book. But I do remember one thing he said. Mom was, well, designed to be a caretaker, but... also as a protector."

"What does that mean?" Allison questioned.

"She was programmed to intervene if someone's life was in jeopardy."

"Well, if her hardware is degrading, then... We need to turn her off."

Diego interrupted Luther, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait," He pointed his knife at him, "She's not just a vacuum cleaner you can throw in a closet. She feels things, I've seen it!"
