The bell signaling the end off class rung and Jack jumped out of his seat grateful to get away from the screeching chalk board and posters that said 'Stay in school!' Or 'Math is for cool kids!' Jack hated that math classroom with a deep passion. Jacks gloomy mood suddenly brightened as he spotted Katherine walking up to him jostling her way through a group of freshmen boys who turned and gawked as she passed by.

"Hey ya Ace." Jack said pulling her to his side.

"Hey Jack!" She beamed at him "You ready for your presentation in Mr. Stones class?" She asked. Jacks mood darkened at the thought.

"No, I'm planning on winging it." He told her as they walked together to English.

"You can't just wing this kind of thing." She told him "It's half your grade."

"Ya but who does presentations on The Count Of Monte Crisco?" Jack asked making a face at the name.

"Cristo! Not Crisco, it's not a type of fat Jack, it's a great story!" She said as they reached the door. The halls were mostly deserted save a few lazy seniors (such as themselves) who took their time getting to class.

"Well whatever it's called, why can't we do something more interesting?" He asked and turned to face her before they walked in.

"Like what?" She asked crossing her arms. She looked so cute when she did that, her hair was down and slightly windblown she wore white shirt and a red sweater over it. Jack thought she looked pretty hot.

"Like this..." Jack said and pulled her closer his hand automatically slipping up her back to pull her closer. He kissed her lips feeling himself get lost as she put her arms around his neck.

"Hands off Mr. Kelly!" A voice boomed from the door way. Mr. Stone, great. Jack smirked a little as Katherine jumped away from him her cheeks going slightly pink. "Perhaps you to could graciously save your lip-locking for later and get into my classroom!" The man said narrowing his eyes at the two teens.

"Yes sir." Jack said following Katherine in as Mr. Stone moved so they could come in. Mr. Stone was an irritable man in his late forties with thinning brow hair that was streaked with grey. From the very first day Mr. Stone had labeled Jack as a troublemaker, he purposefully put Jacks desk right next to his and just so happened to put Katherine's on the complete opposite side. Still smirking Jack made his way to his desk plopping his books down loudly on his chair just to annoy him.

"Okay class now that that's all taken care of let's head straight into the presentations." Mr. Stone said throwing Jack an irritated look as he sat at his own desk in his own comfy chair. Jack never got that, why did all teachers have nice chairs? Why couldn't the students have them too? Race -who sat two rows over- leaned back in his chair so he could talk to Jack.

"Pssst! Hey Jacky boy? You get tin' cozy with Katherine again?" He whispered loudly. Jack chuckled.

"You know it." He whispered back unfortunately Mr. Stone herd.

"Pssst! Kelly, Higgins! If you want to stay out of Principle Pulitzers office I suggest you pay attention." He whispered back loud enough for the whole class to hear.

"Oh no! Not Mr. Pulitzer! Anything but that!" Jack said his voice dripping with sarcasm. The class erupted with laughter and Katherine rolled her eyes at him from across the room. Mr. Stones mood didn't improve after that.

Jack paid attention for about 5.5 seconds (which was probably a record) before his eyes wandered from the nervous looking Junior who was giving a presentation on Pride and Prejudice to Katherine who was clutching her note cards in one hand and tapping her fingers with the other, she did that quite a lot. He suddenly felt a desire to draw her, her hair fell gently down her back and the way she was angled in her seat would have been perfect for a portrait. He seemed to tune the rest of the world out as he sat and stared at her, she looked so beautiful from across the room. As the Junior finished the class gave a halfhearted round of applause as the next person sauntered up. Jack leaned back in his chair so he could see her better just as Mr. Stones voice interrupted Jacks thoughts.

"Eyes off Mr. Kelly! If you won't stop starring at Miss. Pulitzer then I'll make you present everyone else's power points. Do I make myself clear?" He said coolly. Katherine smirked at him from across the room as the class chuckled and encouraged him to keep looking at Katherine.

"Yes sir." Jack said facing forward in his chair as he smiled at Katherine.

Gratefully Katherine was next to give her presentation and Jack was free to look at her as much as he wanted, he tried not to be to smug about it because he could feel Mr. Stones glare on his back. Jack gave her his full attention as she spouted facts about one of her favorite books Peter Pan. She did a wonderful job and seemed pleased with herself as she sat back down at her desk. A few presentations later it was Jacks turn.

"Jack Kelly." Mr. Stone called gloomily and Jack stood up and made his way to the front. Thank goodness David had helped Jack with it because heaven knows it wouldn't have been very pretty with out his help. As he read off his Count Of Monte Crisco-Cristo, whatever his mind wandered back to Katherine. Mr. Stone seemed to know exactly what Jack was thinking because he shook his head annoyed.

"Focus Kelly, mind off Miss. Pulitzer!" He called making the class laugh as he stumbled over the sentence he was reading. He forced himself to concentrate and finally made his way through the presentation. He felt satisfied with his work (and David's) as he went back to sit down.

The rest of the hour passed slowly as Jack counted the seconds he until could get out of that place. Finally the bell rang and Katherine met him outside the door.

"Can't keep your eyes off me can you?" She asked smugly.

"Nope" he said and pulled her in for a much needed kiss.

"Come on Cowboy, one more hour." She said as he pulled away. Jack groaned as she pulled him toward his next class. "Oh you'll be fine." She told him.

"Yea, just one more teacher to say 'Hands off Kelly! Eyes off Kelly! Mind off Kelly!' Ugh you wouldn't think it would make you exhausted but it does." He said as she slipped her hand into his. She rolled her eyes and kissed his cheek.

"One more hour."
