Authors Note- Ok first of all, who ever is the person to run the Sensitive Jack Kelly account on Twitter is pure genius! It makes my day every time I read one! I decided to do a little one shot based off of the Tweet up above. All credit for that goes to the person who came up with it. I simply wish to use it as inspiration. So with out any further delay, here's a look at what I thought would of happened revolving the Tweet.*******************************
Jack sat at the counter in Katherine's kitchen one day, it had been a slow day selling and Jack was practically bored out of his mind. The June heat had taken up all his energy and left him wanting to die as he attempted to sketch something. In his mind, boredom should have been outlawed, no one should be subject to such misery.
"Hey Jack." Katherine's familiar voice called to him as she came into her apartment.
"Hey Kath." Jack greeted dully not even bothering to look up as she came into the kitchen carrying a bag of groceries in her arms.
"What's the matter with you?" She asked picking up on his mood instantly. He could tell by her tone that she wasn't impressed with him but he didn't really care at the moment, he'd deal with her wrath later.
Katherine just rolled her eyes and set her keys down on the counter and started to put the groceries away. Jack went back to his sketch that was beginning to look a lot like Santa Fe -or Chipotle- Jack couldn't tell anymore.
"Oh Jack! I almost forgot, I have something for you." Katherine said admits of putting away the food.
Jack looked up curiously at what she had for him, maybe she'd gotten him a bat he could knock himself out with so he wouldn't be bored anymore.
Katherine dung through one of the brown bags, pulled out a white envelope and handed it to him. Feeling like this was the most exciting thing to happen all day Jack opened the flap and pulled the card out. It was bright green and had fancy letters in red that said: Happy Father's Day!
If Jack had been an old man with heart problems, he would of had a heart attack.
"Uh, uh, um... Kath?" Jack asked panic like ice racing though his veins. "Why did you-? Are you-?"
Katherine noticed his expression and scowled at him, she ripped the card out of his hands and smacked him with it.
"It's for my Dad you idiot!" She said sounding annoyed.
Like someone lifting a heavy object off Jacks chest he sighed with relief.
"Oh thank goodness!" He said dramatically and practically slid off his chair in relief.
"I'm not- your such a- oh just sign it!" Katherine said thrusting it into his chest.
Jack let out a nervous laugh feeling like this day had just got a whole lot more interesting. With the whit of a smug man who had just dodged a bullet Jack graciously picked up his pencil and scribbled a note to the one and only Joseph Pulitzer.
Dear Joe,
You should be grateful I'm dating your daughter. After all, this card could have been for me. But it's not. Your welcome.
Sincerely, your future Son-In-Law, Jack Kelly
