Run Away With Me?

Katherine sipped her steaming tea as she read her recently published article about a flood in New Jersey. She was quite proud of her work if she said so herself. She leaned up against her counter when suddenly she herd her window open and a attractive voice call-

"Miss Katherine Plumber is your sweet face somewhere in here?"

Katherine laughed and set her tea down as Jack rounded the corner looking like he had just won a million bucks.

"Right here where ya left me." Katherine said grinning back. His whole figure screamed happiness and she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen him so happy.

"Mmmm I could never leave youse, I'd take you with me." Jack said walking right up to her. She laughed and set her newspaper down.

"You wouldn't have to take me because I'd follow you with out any complaints." Katherine said propping herself up on her hands and leaned her head back to look at him.

"Then that's it!" Jack said his hand wrapping around her waist "What do ya say Ace, run away with me?"

"Run away with you? Are you crazy?" Katherine asked with a laugh as she placed her hands on his shoulders.

"Not crazy! Just crazy about you." He said cheekily and pressed his forehead to hers.

"If I agreed... where would you take me?" She asked, it sounded like a challenge to Jack.

"Wherever you want, as long as it's far from your father!" Jack said brushing back a piece of her hair.

"Away from my father... with you at my side... could life get better?" She asked running a finger across her jaw line.

"Run away with me! All you have to do is say yes, say yes and we're outta this town! We'll go wherever the wind takes us!" Jack said his excitement growing on Katherine.

"Like Santa Fe?" Katherine asks raising her eyebrows.

"Yea, if that's where you wanna go..."

"That's where you want to go Jack!" Katherine said slightly exasperated.

"I wanna be wherever you are, and if that's in Santa Fe or New York then I'm there." He says seriously.

"Hey that's my line." She says pushing his chest gently. He laughs and kisses her cheek.

"So what do you say?"

Katherine thought for a moment, she didn't have to write another article until next week so maybe...

"Alright Jack Kelly, let's go."
