(16) ~ Cat Troubles (Part Five: Final)

The ears popped out.

You grabbed the cap from Hiro's grasp and stuffed it on your head. You breathed in deeply. Hiro can't know.

"Hey, let me see!" Hiro exclaimed. You clutched the cap to the top of your head. It was the only thing preventing Hiro from seeing.

You breathed in a few more breaths, and the ears went down. You were getting quite good at this.

"Fine." You let go of the cap. And Hiro grabbed it off.

"Nice shoes," he commented (😄VioletIceHeart0072 )

"Umm.... Okay?"

Hiro smiled at you, flushing a light red. You looked away. The fluttering feeling in your chest was back. Oh no.

You stood up, the chair scraping against the ground. Calmly, you walked to the door. "_____! Where are you going!?" Hiro asked.

"I'm going somewhere." You replied.

"You always go somewhere." He said, annoyed. "Just tell me. You know you can."

"I can't." You spat. "I-it's..."

"It's what?"

"Nothing."

"_____! Just tell me!" Hiro was getting angry.

"Ugh! I told you! I CAN'T!" You yelled back.

"Please?! Tell me?!" Hiro begged.

"Begging won't work." You looked up at the ceiling.

"Please!?"

"Nope."

"FINE! Then GO! I won't care!" Hiro stood back and yelled suddenly, making you jump. Hiro looked at you in the eyes, waiting for you to break down, waiting for you to defy.

But you didn't.

"Okay." You said. Without a word, you turned and stormed away.

Hiro followed quietly without you noticing.

You walked into the next lab, shutting the door behind. The lab was completely empty except for a few boxes lying around. You slid against the wall until you were sitting. Hugging your knees with one hand, you took off the cap with the other.

You didn't care that the ears were in plain sight. You were in privacy. You looked at the inside of your hat. A little gasp came from behind the door. You looked up at the window on the door at caught a glimpse of black. When you shook your head, it was gone.

Probably just me imagination. I'm just hoping Hiro will come and comfort me.

You picked a piece of wiry (H/C) fur out of it. It was a piece of your ear fur. You heard a bump against the door. You jumped up, and looked out the door window. Hiro was standing there. He opened the door.

"Well, I guess there's no hiding it from you. Yell at me all you want. You probably don't even like me anymore." You said, defeated.

Hiro flushed a dark red. "I-I-" he stuttered.

"You look adorable!" He blurted out.

You smiled and rushed forward to hug him. So he did like you.

Hiro was standing frigid under your grasp, his heart beating so fast and hard, you could feel it. You whispered, "Willyougooutwithme?"

Hiro gasped.

"Yes."
