Brianna pushed the door to her friends' lab open. Her eyes immediately go to Hiro's working place, where he looks up at her. "Hey," she greets them.
"Hey Brianna! What's up?" Honey Lemon replies.
"I... Umm.... Need to tell... Umm... You guys something." She plops down on the green armchair where Fred usually sits.
"Hey! That's mine!" Fred argues. She ignores him.
"Hey. Is something wrong?" Hiro looks at her worryingly. "You're usually not so awkward." Brianna blushes and looks away. Sure~ he was her best friend, but she liked him, which makes everything weird.
"I just wanted to let you guys know that..." She hesitates.
"C'mon, just spit it out already." GoGo says impatiently.
"That I'm going to be leaving San Fransokyo."
"What!?" They all say in unison. "Why?" Wasabi asks.
"I uh got accepted into a new uh school." She answers. They all stare at her uncomprehendingly. She looks at Hiro sadly. "Sorry guys, but it's been my dream ever since I was small. I just have to follow it."
"It's okay. We all understand. At least I think we do." Fred says.
Everyone nods except for Hiro. He gazes coldly at her and turns away.
Brianna's eyes well up with tears. She gets up and runs out of the lab.
"Wait, Brianna!" Honey Lemon yells, but Brianna ignores her. All she cares about is Hiro, and how he looked at her before he turned away.
Did she really make the right decision telling them?
