Your phone rings. It was Hiro texting you.

Hiro: Hey, wanna come over at 5 to work on my microbots? We have a lot to make and design for the presentation!

You: Ya sure!

Hiro: Okay see ya!

It was 4:45 pm, and you were almost finished with extracurricular homework. Hiro has been your best friend since forever.

"Done!" You say, slamming your pencil down on the table.

You glanced at your watch. 10 minutes to get to Hiro's house. You bring your sketchbook and a pencil box in a bag. Hopping onto your (F/C) bike, you ride towards The Lucky Cat Café.

You open the door into the café. A woman with short brown hair looks up and smiles. "Hey Cass!" You greet.

"Hey _____!"

"Hiro asked me to come over. Is he here?" Cass nods. "Right upstairs in Tadashi and his room!" She points towards the stairs.

You climb up the stairs, humming the tune to (F/S). The wooden door soon comes to sight. You push it open to see Hiro talking with Tadashi on his desk. They don't seem to notice you.

So you decide to give them a little scare. You sneak up on Hiro, and when you get close enough...

"Boo!" You place your hands on his shoulders.

Hiro screams like a little girl. You laugh and fall down, clutching your stomach. Tadashi just smiles, a smug look on his face.

Hiro turns around in his chair and glares at you. His face is red, though you don't know if it's from embarrassment or anger. (And of course, you're oblivious to Hiro's actions 'cause that's how he usually acts towards you.) His crush on you was ridiculously crazy. (And again, you don't know about that...)

You get up from the ground and sit down on the floor next to Hiro's chair. Your head facing a drawer. "Dude. You expect me to be able to work with you like this?" You get up. "I'm leaving."

You take a step towards the door. Hiro pushes his chair back and scrambles in front of you. "No, wait, _____, don't-"

You stop, turn around, and sit on Hiro's seat. "Ah. Much better." A second later, Tadashi stands up. "I'll- ummm..., just leave you two alone." He leaves with a sly smile.

"So. Just me and you. Maybe we could make up-"

"Wait. Make up!?" Hiro stammers. "What are you thinking!?"

"Dude. Listen to what I was going to say: We could make up something new for your microbots."

Hiro nods, embarrassed. You hold out your hand. "Now show me a microbot." He hands you a tiny squirming object. "It's so tiny!"

"Ya think?" He answers in a sarcastic voice.

"Okay. Let's work."

You stand up and run to the garage.

You and Hiro work for three hours and a half before Cass nods on the door and peeks in. "Hey guys! Wanna go for a snack break?" You look up from your pile of microbots. "Sure!" You place down the neurotransmitter carelessly on the desk and grab Hiro's arm. "Let's go."

Tadashi sits on the couch, listening to Hiro's stutters and stammers through the door. Poor Hiro. It must be hard to work for that long with your crush! He had devised of a plan to push Hiro and you together. When he sees you walk into the living room, he stands up and goes into the garage, giving you a wink on the way.

Looking for the neurotransmitter headband wasn't so hard, it was placed carelessly on the desk. He takes it and puts it on. The two trash bins you guys have filled with microbots shake, and then pour out on Tadashi's command. Tadashi opens the garage door, which sends Mochi up the stairs, yowling when he saw the tiny robots. "Be quiet, Mochi." Tadashi mutters.

You are sitting on the couch, eating mochi (like the ice cream, not the cat.), leaning on Hiro's shoulder. Surprisingly, you were both enjoying the moment. You look up at a very red Hiro while he looks down at you, until you notice a shadow fall across his head. "Hiro-" you didn't have time to warn.

The microbots crash down on Hiro while more push you up. Hiro's face smashes squarely into yours, lips on lips. Your (E/C) eyes widen and so does Hiro's. But then you close your eyes and kiss him genuinely. You wrap your arms around him. Hiro feels his cheeks heat up. But that didn't matter now.

You have been waiting for this moment secretly. You haven't even realized your feelings for Hiro until just now. You smile and break away. Hiro looks away immediately. Tadashi walks in with a hood over his head and a smile. Now you finally understood what the wink had meant.

"So, Hiro. How's your project going?" The microbots formed a bigger version of a microbot and then falls to the ground.

"F-fine." He stammers. He can't let Tadashi know about the kiss. Why is this happening to the microbots? It's as if they were-

Tadashi. It was Tadashi. That's why he had a hood over his head. But how did he know?

You smirk and grab Hiro's hand. "Let's get back to work."
