Eddie and I went to see a comedy movie but it was actually really cheesy but really funny called Ferris Bueller's Day Off. We stayed though, he held my hand the whole time, and with our free hands we threw popcorn at each other. I honestly didn't pay too much attention to the movie, I was stealing glances at Eddie. And he was stealing glances at me too, I caught him on multiple occasions sneaking a glance or two at me. I can look at him for forever if possible. I bit my lip before taking a sip of our shared Cherry Coke.
"You're a dork." I whispered.
"No you are." He hissed back.
"No you." I grinned.
He nudged his foot with mine so I nudged back, giggling as I did it. When the movie finally ended we were both covered in quite a bit of popcorn on us.
"I think we are wearing more popcorn than we ate." I laughed.
"I think you're right. C'mon. Let's go before they know it was us." He laughed as he grabbed my hand and started walking fast.
We stopped by a burger stand and ordered a quick dinner that we ate in his van before he took me home. He always makes sure to park just out of sight of my parents seeing him. They are aware of him... But he wants to play it safe. On the way home Eddie seemed nervous about something. He wouldn't look at me as much and kinda tapped the steering wheel as he drove in silence.
"Eddie? Are you okay?" I asked him.
"Yeah. I think uhh I ate too fast. That burger isn't umm sitting right." He mumbled.
"Oh... Okay."
I didn't really believe it was that. But I wasn't gonna push anything. If Eddie didn't want to talk, I couldn't force him. Hopefully I didn't do anything wrong... Now I was starting to worry I said something or did something or some combination of the both. I began to pick at my nails out of anxiety. He parked the van, out of parental eyesight, and hopped out. I hopped out and went to meet him.
He looked down, smiling at me as he approached, "Goodnight. I'll see you soon?""Not soon enough." I purred as I stood up to kiss his cheek.
Eddie moved his head quickly and moved so I'd kiss his lips. I giggled against his mouth and ran my fingers through his hair as I didn't want to let go. He slowly pulled away, smiling.
"I gotta go." He said as he rolled his eyes, "Something about my uncle needing my help."
"Okay. I won't keep you." I laughed.
I felt some of the nervousness ease up as I made my way to my house, grabbing my back up clothes from their hiding spot. I snuck into the backyard and changed before running around the front and walking in.
"Hello parents!" I smiled, "I am home! Im gonna t
Go take a shower!""Okay honey! Good job on the chores today!" Mom called as I made my way upstairs.
Damn right. Busted my ass to get this date. I heard a thump upstairs but didn't think much of it. My dad is clumsy. I shrugged, went to my room and grabbed pajamas, and made my way to the bathroom. I let the hot steamy water cascade down my body, almost like washing away the unnecessary nerves I had on the way home. I mean. He didn't seem bothered once we kissed goodbye. He seemed like himself. Maybe I was just overthinking and that burger screwed with his tummy? Eh. I washed my body, scrubbed my hair, and probably used all the hot water in the process. I walked into my room, wrapped in a towel and sat on my bed as I started to reach for my shorts. Just as I grabbed them suddenly something popped up from under my bed.
"Hey Y/N I-"
"HOW THE ACTUAL FUCK?!" I screamed as I punched, my eyes squeezed shut as I held the towel with my free hand.
